Lovely! I have Guinness on tap in my man cave. It pours great but my lacing stinks. Any suggestions on how you clean your glassware? I’ve tried EVERYTHING and no schtick! 😡
@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie82275 ай бұрын
Alright mate . The good stick for me is a nice clean dry glass I only wash my glasses with hot water and a brush they drip dry or I dry them with kitchen towel . It’s very rare I do g get good stick . Don’t use and washing up liquid as it leaves a film on the glass and so t get any stick . Hope that helps cheers 🍻

@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 thank you sir! I use a sodium percarbonate but I'll just go with hot water and my brush and see how it goes! Cheers!

Hey Graham ... I've watched your videos regarding carbonation but can you let me know how you are set up in terms of beer lines. I've got a Keezer and am using 3m 3/16th beer line ... my dry Irish Stouts are 'set and forget" on 30/70 at around 35PSI / 6c temp. It pours fine and gets a decent head but very little of the cascading (the current stout has been in the keezer for several weeks so in theory plenty long enough for carbonation to complete). The pour is also very slow which might be a factor ... perhaps the length is impacting the nitro somehow. I use a stout spout on the tap. I've found line length calculators for Co2 (I have 4 taps each with their own secondary regulator so I can set PSI as required for the beer style) but not for 30/70. How is yours set up as the pour is way way better than mine and I really want to recreate that. Cheers!

Sorry mate I thought I replied my stout line is 9.5mm and it’s 6 ft long are you using a creamer nozzle ? And what psi are you serving with ? Is it an all grain or a kit ? I find the kit pints seem to settle faster for some reason . If in a kegerator 32 psi should be plenty for a stout and it shouldn’t pull slowly under that pressure. I don’t think the length is an issue to be honest some bars the lines are very long .

@@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie8227 Cheers fella, really appreciate the info. I think you've replied to a different comment I posted on another video so all good! I'm using a creamer nozzle and a few weeks after posting my initial comment it's definitely got much better cascading so I think more carbonation was needed. That's a good learn. Your beer line is much larger than mine (3/8th for you versus my 3/16th ... will try the larger line to see if that changes things for the better. Have you spotted this from David Heath for his best Guinness clone yet (you've been mentioned by a few members so am sure you've spotted it .... 5.6% though, not so excited by that!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXeciIaVq5xmq80 Love the channel, keep at it ... all the best!

@billybungle1757 cheers pal no I had not seen it but I had a look there . To be honest his stout didn’t look anything like a Guinness and was straight co2 so not for me . He explained the process really well but I dont think it looked nice no creamy head and probably gassy and to high % and much darker head . Very popular channel he has plenty of subscribers. I must have a look at some of his other videos when I get a chance

Good afternoon, I wanted to know how you use nitrogen, I know you use a 75/25 mixture of co2 + nitrogen. My question is if you do it the same way as carbonating any other beer. I don't speak English, I'm using Google Translate. How can I contact you to ask you a couple more questions? I'm failing at the cascade when pouring the nitrogenated stout.
@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie82275 ай бұрын
I responded in the other message hope it answers you question cheers 🍻

Hey Graham, when you serve your stouts on a nitrogen and CO2 mix (75/25) do you need a different lid for your corny keg?
@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie82274 ай бұрын
Alright mate . No you don’t need to use a different lid for the keg . You need a creamer nozzle for your tap doe . Cheers 🍻
@guillermocastro47965 ай бұрын
If it helps, I am not using a nitrogen regulator, I use a CO2 regulator with a coupling to connect the nitrogen tube. Do you use a regulator for nitrogen?
@grahamlawlorshomebrewrevie82275 ай бұрын
Alright mate yes I carbonate the same way . If you are using the force carbonation method look at my video on force carbonation and go to the comments. I have put up more tips and tricks in them comments that I have found work better . Hope that helps if no feel free to ask . Also are you using a stout nozzle for the stouts as you need it for cascading . Cheers 🍻
