as an American Soldier coming back from Iraq I had a layover in Shannon Ireland. I thought it was my duty to have a Guinness. I ordered one the bartender gave me two. the first sip was horrible. but after I finished the first pint magically the second one was really damn good. in the flight from Shannon Ireland to Bangor Maine the entire plane was in line for the bathroom. two pints went in 30 gallons came out.

Guinness was one of the first beers I had despite the constant warnings to start with something lighter, but I thought it tasted really good. With all the people saying it was too heavy, dark, strong, etc. I wasn't expecting to actually like it the first time I tried it. Idk how to describe it but it tasted...savory/smokey/idk

I learned that the one in the Can is more cleaner to drink if you put it in a cup/glass bc it's normal that it exploded in the can bc of the foam crown that builds up normally. That's why there is a metal ball in there :)
