really funny video lol first one I see so idk about all the gaming takes you have.. but.. I downloaded/tried HL2 when it was on dirt cheap sale, I didn't get but a couple hours in.. I mean some linear games are fantastic, you can't deny RE4 is a good game. There's some backtracking but still as linear as it gets. I'm not a big fan of first person shooters tho, and I only got it cause I got Alyx after, I haven't finished Alyx.. it's okay, but RE4 is the best VR title, and I didn't mean to bring the same game twice lol. all I can say is I'd rather play Second-Life, something I've only booted for less than an hour, I think we can get more out of it. The real problem with starting half life now is you know there's a huge cliffhanger that's never solved. I'm still not spoiled but maybe one day lol. This isn't talking about half life 2 tho maybe you praise that, 1 does look kinda bad, but I did get 1 and it didn't run on my PC with a 2070S RTX... got some error, so I have no opinion.

Agreed, Half-Life is easily one of the worst games of all time. The scripted sequences are so boring and repetitive. Like we get it, you built skeletal animation into the Quake engine in order to reimagine how stories could be told in the video game medium. It's so pretentious and dumb! The game also has way too many weapons and isn't short enough. Atrocious.

I do like Half Life, but it was just the start and only a shadow of what HL2 is. The FPS mechanics and combat just weren't strong enough to get me into the game past 1 playthrough. It's good but overrated and not nearly as good as 2.

Half-Life is a completely dead series and rightfully so. This game was painful to play through, and anybody trying to convince you that it's a masterpiece has clearly never played a true masterpiece. I'm sick of all the fake Half-Life fans coming out of nowhere and trying to be real gamers like me.
