@Chris Trevanion conservative comedy exists. There's just less of it. It's just generally less popular. That's free market Capitalism for you. Complaining about left leaning comedy is like complaining about too much rap music. You can do it, it's just ultimately futile.

Yes Nish is a good sport accepting all the sexist "banter" that he's a "beta-Male' and 'only a man' so therefore he cant be expected to understand clever,nuanced stuff that only women are good at. All in the backdrop of boys falling ever farther behind girls af school and men being 85% of suicides. Still they're only men so it doesn't matter and anyway men are most MPs and company directors so all men must be just fine.
@lee24k4 жыл бұрын
Nish is just playing the feed here, and doing a bloody good job at it.
@NLTops4 жыл бұрын
@@dax3116 Ehhh. This is a classic double act. Nish plays the part of the straight man (comedy jargon, not sexual) and Rachel plays the part of the funny (wo)man. It's a comedy classic because it plays on human social dynamics. The straight man rejecting the statements of the funny man tries to bring reason into the situation, which allows the funny man to further make a mockery of themselves. The straight man represents common sense or the societal norm. Also, in many cultures, when you accept someone making jokes about you, it is considered dignified. Rather than stooping to defending yourself against something said in jest, it shows that you don't take yourself too seriously.
@brucegately8315 жыл бұрын
British humour is still unsurpassed.

And the best thing is that it is an incredibly simple and standard comedic technique - straight man/funny man (woman in this case). But the british are SO GOOD at it!!!

Done some actual comparisons or research? How many languages and matching cultures have you any knowledge of, at least to the extent that you can understand that cultures black humor? I would say that the English have a way to go before they match the Irish or the Scottish but even then we are still limiting ourselves the English speaking comedians. Yes, triggered by your use of 'unsurpassed' so if that was the intention, to trigger, then well done.

Your right... sjws and their ethical stance... wanting people to be treated with decency... judging people based on their actions not their race sex or looks... if they are allowed to get their way peace might break out and social problems might start getting alleviated ... we can't have that can we... and we certainly can't have clever people proving you don't need to be horrible to others to be funny or effective... nor can we be allowed to show women with high IQ (it's a secret we've been sitting on since time immemorial)... no... let us instead call people like this sjw without any real decent counter argument in the hopes it alienates them from society because it would be awful if I was forced to own up to my own shortcomings and improve myself... I would much rather we kept pointing the finger at minorities and blamed religions that aren't my own, gays and immigrants... now let us all go out and vote Trump, Lepenn, UKIP and stop evolution before it's too late!!

@@mattpreece6106 can you help, we know when the right goes too far, but, when does the left,what is the mile stone, how do we know?
@mattpreece61065 жыл бұрын
@smartchip ... It's called Momentum & Corbyn removing democratically elected MPs for not agreeing with him even though they were publicly elected to office... It's spending your career rebelling against your leader until YOU become the leader and decide that nobody is allowed to rebel... when people are censored and can't call it a "brainstorm" or "blackboard"... When white middle class men decide that we can't have a bloody Christmas tree because it might offend somebody... Or removing the word Christ from Christmas all together... First Christmas card my grandfather got when he moved was from a Muslim family and no black person I know has been offended by the use of the word "blackboard"... I was also pissed off when Angela Eagle appeared on HIGNFY and said "I should be leader BECAUSE I'm a lesbian and a Humanist" after all that is saying that you should be selected by Gender, Sexual Orientation and Religious Belief (the exact views feminism is opposed to)... Please don't get the impression that I'm as one sided as a Mobius Loop... I just believe that any two human beings have equal rights and responsibilities... I don't care what colour, race, sex, religion or political views they have... I don't care if they were born on the same clump of dirt as me... I don't care if the hate me... They are still equal (myself included)... Why should women be paid less for doing the same job?... Why should somebody be denied a job due to their skin colour?... Why do statistics show this is still happening?... Melanin and Vaginas are not a valid excuse... There is no scientific evidence that shows us white Brits (of which I am one) are better in any way to anyone... The real bastards though are the very rich who have the cash to sort problems, own the papers, and constantly make the middle classes and working classes blame each other while paying themselves a killing and crashing global economies by gambling with our debts... then turning round and blaming it on foreigners... Hitler blamed immigrants too... the EEC (EU) was set up so that would never happen again and we have had the longest period of peace in Europe (and the best workers rights) since... Rachel Parris isn't playing victim and making stuff up ... she is commenting on how absurd this all is... you don't have to agree (that is your right)... but show her some respect (that is hers)
