Unpopular opinion: It's not that Belgium defence is good, it's their offensive play is quality that caused Portugal having lesser chance to make a good offence, which Portugal almost scored many times. Both played good, tactically Belgium is better.

João Felix was a minus 1 in this game. He started in the wing (which he didn't press quite well Thorgan Hazard) , but shifted to a false-9 in the final minutes, where he wasn't able to receive the ball w/ his feet since Portugal was trying to put the ball into the area. He should've been a starter on this game since his first touch is better than Jota's and play that role you mentioned in the video quite better

@@ajinkyajadhav3840 I kinda agree with you in the sense that Fernando Santos is a very conservative coach, but if that was the case, Bruno Fernandes would be playing every minute of every game and William Carvalho wouldn't even be on the 26's. I think that João Felix didn't start because Jota is in a better physical form, and he kinda fits in within that role. However, against Belgium (one of the best teams of the world), we need to be analytical, which wasn't the case...

Great team play by Belgium, well organized team. Eden was on form and thorgan was man of the match along with Courtois. In last ten minutes they were too were able to score two more goals. They need that last touch.

Imagine Havertz and Werner trying to win the second ball from Lukaku. Kante, Declan, and Mount in the midfield, with Declan dropping to create a back 3 with Christensen and a new CB like Pau torres or Varane. Fullbacks/ wingbacks Chilwell and Reece. There will obviously be rotation as we have a lot of great players, but this would be an amazing 11.

@@ken.9320 we have a lot of great CB, but we don’t really have a world class leader in the mold of Van Dijk, Dias, or Thiago in his prime. We need an intelligent CB that can organize the defense and I think Pau Torres would be great.

Also we’re pretty lucky as a team you need luck to win these games. I think it’s not just tactics cause they got what 29shots on Belgium or something. Since it’s single elimination gotta be lucky to if it were best of three would be a different story. But then this gives all teams a chance to win so I get it.
