I'm sure the whole everyone vs Mustache girl might be a bit odd given that some people like the Mafia are actually sort of bad. But I think the Snatcher put it best when he said "We don't NEED a hero!". Sure, every place has their problems and stuff. But Not every story needs a hero. Hat Girl's main focus throughout the game is getting her time pieces back, not so much trying to help everyone. Sure, she may have saved some people here and there but that doesn't mean she has to be a hero. And I kinda like that. It puts a nice spin on the protagonist role.

Hat girls main point was to get home (wich is probebly time travel since planet lookes exploded by the gtam and the fact that hat girl hase a pc that gives info about earth.Yes she helpt people allong the way but well she wasnt trying to save anyone she just wants to go home and she just happend to help and sometimes was forced to help allong the way.Everyone hase their way of dealing with things but when you have castle full of lava and force innocant people like fire spirits and burn the planets aways than that is pretty fucking full on evil.

Any one else curious as to what Hat Girl's story is? Why is she in a spaceship? Why is she alone? Is she returning home, or trying to find a new one? All we can tell, is that she gets extremely emotional and joyful, at finally leaving and returning home. Am I the only one who's curious about that, or was there a bit of the story that explains her origins that I must have missed?

No matter how many times I watch people play through the ending, it always gives me goosebumps. Gears for Breakfast have made an emotionally powerful game, & it isn't even an emotion-driven story: just having lovable, memourable characters with tight gameplay & a simple-to-understand story is all you really need. This is by far the best game I have played in years, & I think will go down in my life as one of the best games I have ever played, if not, THE best game I have ever played. Like Martyn said, I do wish the overarching story was more connected, seeing as how Moustache Girl is seen once at the beginning & then doesn't appear till the finale, but even with that said, I didn't let that stop me from enjoying the game to it's maximum potential (& there's going to be a ton of modded content coming, so I don't think I'll be stopping myself from playing this game anytime soon).
