What a rollercoaster of emotions…reminded me when I just graduated from my uni and my stomach started hurting at that time. I thought it was a common maag but when I go for a checkup they suddenly showed I tested positive for colon cancer and I was devastated. I was shocked and confused on who to call first and finally broke down crying like you did. All my friends are busy starting up a new chapter of their life and here I am lying in hospital, throwing up everytime I eat something, crying everytime the pain kicks in, and questioning why does this happen to me. After 6 months of hospitalization I finally got discharged and that was when I started to realize how important health is. All those nights I’ve stayed up for studying instead of sleeping, meals I’ve missed, pills I’ve taken is not worth it at all. My mother always nags me, yelling health is wealth but I never took it seriously and I learnt it the hard way. Always take care of your health and do medical checkups routinely, especially if your family have history of chronic illness. Sending you love and hope you recover soon Tina 🤗

Oh dooby… I know how scary that is. I was actually diagnosed with a malignant tumor last year at 26. I was so convinced that mine was benign at the beginning. But the night before the result came out I just had this really weird gut feeling and started crying my eyes out. The result was indeed very hard to take. Fast forward a year, I’m done with the treatment and was able to keep my breasts. I’m just waiting for my hair to grow back now. Everything is back to normal and somehow better. Of course I wish I wouldn’t have gotten it, but life puts you thru things for a reason. I got very lucky

I'm 24, I went to the hospital on November 7th, 2021, due to some pain. That's when I found out I had tumors that was rapidly growing in my liver, lung and thymus, so I know how you're feeling. After getting transferred to another hospital, I had 3 liters of ascites fluid removed. I went into shock and was sedated for 5 day. More test and stuff later, I found out I had stage 4 thymic carcinoma. I spent 2 months in the hospital and missed Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. I was released in late January, but kept bouncing back and forth to the hospital because all my levels were outta wack and I was DIC. 3 rounds of chemo and no improvement. The Doctor sat me and my mom down, telling us that I could either spend the rest of my time with family or they can try a drug not known for treating my Cancer. They said a 20% chance of it doing something. I did it anyway and so far I've had great results, my levels are normal. My cancer went from palliative at best to now being almost resolved. Cancer is a horrible thing and I hope no one has to go through it like I did. Take care of yourselves and go see the doctor if you think something is wrong.

Hello Tina! As someone that got a benign tumor removed from one of my breast when I was 20, I related to you so much! I have fibrosis also and I actually recenlty found another little ball on one of my breast, inmedialy did a scan and went to my oncologist who is an angel and always gives me peace of mind, he told me I'm prone to getting this little balls since my fibrosis is really high (in my case is inherited from my family, my sister is vegetarian and she also has fibrosis since people alot of times relate them to fat, but is not always that) he says I just have to keep an eye on them, he actually found another little one under and was like "see, you have more that aren't as noticeable, they can go away by themselves, hormones can be a factor, some dark colored foods, etc" a friend has a ton and doctors said to keep an eye out for them and they'll eventually go away or even move around! (Of course after doing an autopsy). Take this scare as a reminder that you should check your dooby boobies every now and then for anything that's changing (there's a ton of guides on how to do it yourself online), our bodies go crazy during periods and things change a lot during that time! After my surgery I developed a pain on my breast before my periods which to me was new, but that created the habit of checking what's up, if it's just my period or something else! And let's make sure to find it early in case it is something bad and let's not be scared cause we're strong as fuck. I'm glad to hear you're okay and seeing you that scared reminded me of my 20 year old self again so much

I feel you Dooby. I went to the ER August 17th of last year and had a CT scan because I was having trouble doing things that I normally do like put on my belt, type, and I had a general lack of coordination. The doctor came back and told me that there was a golf ball size mass in my head. I immediately had a feeling of dread wash over me as I though I was dying. I texted all my close friends and family letting them know what was going on trying to act tough through it but internally I was screaming. Turns out the “mass” was inflammation from an Embolic stroke of an unidentified source. I was only 24 years old. Two hospitals, and dozens of specialists later, none of my doctors know what happened to this day as all of my blood work came back normal. Thankfully the stroke doesn’t seem to have done any major damage but since then I started lifting every day, lost 75lbs of fat, and I have never felt better. A health scare can be a blessing in disguise if it reminds you too keep doing things to keep yourself healthy and happy. Hopefully this helps you or someone else who reads it. Keep up the great vlogs! They are seriously cathartic to watch.

Hey Dooby, this one hit close to home. Health is wealth indeed. I also recently had a health scare and felt a lot of the feelings you felt, especially the fear of having to find out alone. Makes you want to curl up into a big ball, and I agree again, you feel so invisible until you're not anymore. Maybe these things happen to help us understand the bigger perspective to our health and allows us to come back to earth when necessary. Maybe it's just life. Whatever reason, or however we make of it. I think it's awesome that you reward your body with nourishing food afterwards. We can't always control what goes on within our body, but we can still give ourselves a fighting chance. Chin up dude, I know this will change you for the better
@yip21882 жыл бұрын
@@michaelpark5681 I recently had a CT scan, I was in the ER for 2-3 hours when I got my results. Fluid tests are often the ones that are drawn out, not necessarily body scans. You state “I imagine” and that’s where you should’ve stopped. Your imagination doesn’t imply accuracy. My generation calls this reaching, and you’re reaching very hard to assume she has ulterior motives based on assumptions created by the very, very, very little information you’re shown and perceived. You got major trust issues my guy, but not everything in this world is completely deceptive. The raindrop rate? Are you zooming in on the rain? Do you have it calculated mathematically? Pure insanity. Yes, weather can be the same throughout the day. This is what’s called a drizzle if you’re not familiar. If it’s cloudy, the sun is behind the clouds and the lighting won’t change much when it’s the middle of the day. Regardless, it’s super disrespectful, considering if there’s a chance your odd suspicions are right, you could’ve just… moved along. Mind your business. Your two cents makes 0 difference. Instead, you made an inconsiderate comment towards someone who more than likely has legitimate claims. Isn’t that much worse? For the sake of being wrong, you could’ve left it alone, but instead you commented anyway. It’s very disrespectful considering she shared something intimate that she didn’t have to. You don’t know this person. So don’t be weird making assumptions. Unless this person has wronged us (they have not) unless they’re the kind of person who withholds details or is farce (she literally shares her thoughts and feelings and life through these vlogs) you have no reason to be so rude.

Then you talking about how alone you felt after your doctors appt… resonated with that so deeply. AND THEN your family setting aside all their differences bc of your health. Thank you for sharing your experiences 🧡 love you stinky

I totally can relate to this Dooby! I also had a breast cancer scare a few years ago, I found a lump in my boob and was immediately referred to a breast cancer specialist to have it checked out and it was so scary. Luckily it turned out to be a fatty lump made up of milk tissue, and I had it removed as it was quite large, but I felt exactly how you felt. The not knowing is the worst part. I was so lucky and grateful that we have universal healthcare in the UK. It really gave me and my family a reality check and made us realise that when it came down to it, problems like money and family feuds were futile when there’s a possibility that you could be facing something terminal, and it brought us together so much closer. I truly believe that your parents will have faced a similar reality check and you will all be so much closer because of this, and you will no longer feel alone. Sending all the love Dooby!!!❤️❤️❤️

Luckily a later biopsy revealed it was benign but that time inbetween I was so scared and wondering what my future or lack thereof might look like. Glad your results also came out okay. Good luck on your journey with PCOS. So many dooobies are here supporting you! Also so happy to hear you’re spending time with your family again

Hey dooby! First of all I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I went through a similar thing when I was 23 years old. I felt a weird lump in my throat the day I moved out of my home and hundred miles away from my family. Decided to get it checked out for the heck of it and I was joking about it the entire time only to get the results from the doctor saying it might be cancer. Luckily it was benign but that experience scared the heck out of me. It was so confusing having to navigate through healthcare (and I work in it). It taught me that even in my darkest moments I truly still have so much to live for and want to live for. So happy that yours turned out benign! It doesn’t feel like it now but man you’ll look back and realized how much of a G you were for getting through this. Let me know if you ever have any medical questions!
