The true and everlasting friendship between Lazarus and Jesus is that of brothers. This scene they shared had me with tears in my eyes. Lazarus understands the path before Jesus better than the Apostles, for now. Demetrius Troy is an excellent actor. My two favorite actors in this show and real-life friends share one powerful scene.

The beautiful portion that this clip just misses is when Lazarus says “I love you.” None of us want to see our loved ones suffer, however suffering was part of the Father’s will in this case. As Jesus so often reminded the disciples, all of this was not about what was immediately in front of them, or even decades later. All of this was crafted to change millennia of human history. It is so hard for us to gain that perspective with the limited lives we live.

😭 We should all see our sins, be broken for what we each did to Jesus (ignored, rejected, didn't follow and live for Him, necessitating Him being rejected, suffering, and dying on the cross as God's sinless Son, dying in our place. We then, knowing the truth of these things, we should be completely broken-hearted for how we've treated Him, sincerely be regretful, and THEN, repent (meaning do a complete turn around, 180°) from how we were, to agree with God's conviction (agree with Him as our Judge as to how we've sinned (living as though there was no God, our Creator, Who has every right to direct us), and then after knowing the truth about ourselves, knowing that Jesus is our only Hope, dying in our place, we should turn from OUR ways ( called repenting), THEN FOLLOW Him for the rest of our lives. It may not be easy (trials will come, and we may fall again ad again), but knowing what God did for us, so that we could be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with the God the Father, should cause us to be grateful enough to live for Him the way He wanted us, His creation, to live.... Be Humbly Grateful, loving Him, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit (Three Entities in One God) and then love other people, like we love ourselves. It's marvelous to have His Word, while the Holy Spirit helps us understand His Word, knowing Jesus is always with us, never leaving us alone. He walks with me and He talks with me. We naturally want to become more like Him as we follow Him, the thing He tells us to do. ❤

I saw Season 4, all of it. That show truly makes me try harder to be a good person. I don’t hear or read the Bible same way. The Chosen has done an excellent job of balancing the Word with the reality of Bible times. The script is genius. Really am impressed. I still love Jesus Christ Superstar-the lyrics are spot on. The scene between Jesus & Lazarus had me balling like a baby & I couldn't stop. I listened to each word He spoke & the prophecy foretold & cried even harder seeing Jesus's eye well up, made it so real. I wanted to be able in that moment to step in & take His pain away. Knowing it would have been futile, I wanted to tell Him...Thank you, I love you with all my heart, you are the Son of Man & I believe you are The Christ who has come to take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. The spotless Lamb Of God. I would've anointed Him a million times over. I would've died with Him when He was called to His Kingdom, my heart was that full & I believe so very much in Our Lord & I am forever grateful for His gift. Amen🙏🕊🕯

This is so very powerful. I'm watching it out of context, because I haven't seen any episodes of Season 4 yet. I do know that Our Lord Jesus fulfilled many prophecies, especially in Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22, among so many more... but it will be very eye-opening to see this in the context of this exceptionally creative dramatization of Jesus's life and ministry -- and, of course, His followers. It's so very moving. We must never forget that it was our sin that put Him on that cross, and He did it willingly as a human being, and felt it as we would, as flesh and blood. I am eternally grateful to His Holy Majesty, King Jesus!!! ❤️🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻❤️ GLORY to HIS NAME!!!

Although I know what the Old Testament says, it is sad nonetheless. Every time I do or say anything I shouldn't I instantly regret it. Because having done or said the wrong thing makes me feel like He suffers yet again. This series isone of the best teaching tools outside of the Bible. The historical figures come to life for me as I imagine them living lives much like we do. I see the images of the actors as I read the Bible. I think our God is preparing us for the next new thing that He is getting ready to do. Hallelujah!
