He also played Lonnie Frisbee well! Lonnie came to the Los Osos Vineyard in 1990, the best church service I ever went to. It lasted for 6 hours, so many people were healed of all kinds of things. I remember being high with the Holy Spirit for 3 days after this event. The Vineyard split up a week later and Pastor Joseph Goodwin stepped down and they new pastor changed the name of the Vineyard church and I stopped attending, as they hated the Lonnie experience of the fall of the Holy Spirit upon the people. It was TOTALLY AWESOME! I do not attend a cement church, I go to church everyday in my body ever since. The WORD is real, it will guide you and keep you going! Always be rapture ready. Matthew 25.

In my humble opinion Jonathan has portrayed Jesus better than any other actor to date. He’s truly blessed. To elevate his career to the level he has is monumental and after 7 seasons he deserves a rest. Just like his father, the architect, after 6 days of building he rested on the 7th. @@greglogan7706 Great question! I would say that prayer and reading scripture have had the biggest impact on me. I have the King James Version of the Bible. I like to read it, and sometimes, I will play the Bible app along as I read in a simpler version (ESV) to gain further understanding of difficult-to-read scripture. I've learned to pray on every decision I make- any decision of magnitude. I ask God to share His wisdom and discernment with me so I can gain a deeper understanding of life. I also prayed a lot before, not so much now, to discern the difference between God’s voice, my voice, and Satan's. How about you?

I loved the interview he gave explaining how he was not “in a good place” financially and things did not look good until he SURRENDERED EVERYTHING TO GOD! After that his financial problems got better and was called to audition to play the role of Jesus. I am so thankful to God that he is the one that was “ CHOSEN” to play Jesus because he has done extremely well. Thank you Jonathan for such a wonderful portrayal of the most IMPORTANT person that lived, died for US and lives eternally in Heaven. I have watched many stories about Jesus, the three that stand out for me the most are Jesus of Nazareth, played by Robert Powell, Mel Gibson’s the Passion of the Christ, played by Jim Caviezel, who was also 33 when it was filmed, and I knew that this was more truthful on how Jesus suffered, more so than what usually was shown and done within other films, this was explicit and graphic, emotional heart rendering examples of his pain and suffering…I cried most of the way through these scenes it broke my heart….,and the Chosen, with Johnathon Roumie as Jesus, who had brought Jesus closer on how he might have been more interactive and caring with people around Him, especially with His disciples and interacting more than shown in previous films….it did mention them arguing who would be on his right or left side in the Bible and the Chosen showed their limitations and gifts God gave them Thank you Johnathon for doing the role of Jesus, and it’s hard for me to explain this, but this is the Jesus I have felt what Jesus to be, a loving, caring and compassionate Jesus, more than what I have seen before in films, it may have been there in films, but NOT the way you helped bring Jesus to be, merciful and forgiving, with wisdom beyond His years, setting examples and expectations for others to follow, in the way that I believe and feel Jesus is within my heart…being God’s son he would be, Jesus would have know things, even His own way of suffering and death. It’s hard to portray Jesus, because we really don’t know what He was like, and only get a slight glimpse of Him in the Bible, but that is how we get to know Him as well, by His teachings and experiences with others, examples of His life and His love for us as well….a compassionate Jesus. The Chosen is a gem. Doreen Virtue and her friends have it all wrong. As Christians, it is not our place to judge others. Jesus came to this world in human form, with human emotions. He walked among us and taught us the Way. That is, repent (it literally means change your thinking), do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and love the Lord your God with all your heart. Jesus embraced the marginalized in society, the outcasts, the lame, the poor, the mentally ill. Because of his "humanity," people refused to believe that he was the Messiah, the Son of God, Son of Man. A HUGE THANK YOU TO JONATHAN ROUMIE, an incredibly talented actor, and to the WRITERS and the amazing CAST of THE CHOSEN. You brought Jesus into our homes in a way that is much needed in these uncertain times. My faith in Jesus was resurrected after watching this show and so many people I've talked to feel the same. As for you, Jonathan, no need to apologize. It must be incredibly difficult portraying a larger than life figure like Jesus. And then there are the people who think you ARE Jesus. That must be taxing and overwhelming, probably like your filming schedule. And somewhere in there you've probably lost your sense of identity. Take your much needed rest. It's okay to be you. I just pray he follows his call and holds onto Jesus in his heart and not fall off the good Way home! Nothing else matters in life but having Jesus as your Lord and Savior, he is the only way to redemption and life

Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus as both God and man, has opened my eyes to the human side of the son of God. Being taught about Jesus all your life, you are never taught to consider that he experienced all the physical and emotional things we all do; physical exhaustion, entertained by the children, having to referee bickering apostles (who were very far from saints when they decided to follow Him), the love between mother and son, etc. I believe Jonathan was CHOSEN to enlighten millions - job well done. His portrayal of Christ Jesus, my Lord and my God, in the first episode in season 1, when he dealt with Mary Magdalene brought me to tears and a deeper walk with Christ Jesus. You just need to know that God your Father who wondrously Made you for this Time Thank you for what you do!! I deal with depression, so I understand what emotions can do. what has helped me is God formed me in my mother's womb for this time!! He also loves me just as He loves you!!
