I've been thinking of you Maxine and sending you prayers every day since your Dad passed.❤ I was told once by a nurse it's very common for husbands and wives to pass within very short periods of time,it doesnt make the pain if loss easier for us left behind but I know when this occurred for me with my parents and inlaws I felt at peace because I thought in a sense the went together and not years apart. Your Dad absolutely loved you for your strength through all your ups and downs he was so proud of you, do you know your name means "greatest". Your parents called you Maxine for a reason. I lost my dad, I was in the care home car park when my mam rang and told me he had passed away. I missed saying goodbye to him by minutes and have still not accepted that. My dad was everything to me. I did all the hospital appointments, etc, with him. I miss him so much. You do you Max and do what you want when you want and take it all at your pace. Don't ever apologise for talking about them and saying how you feel. It's not wrong to be relieved when someone you love is in so much pain and distress then dies and is at peace. Nothing you're feeling is wrong and you don't have a bad bone in your body.
