Yep, the old jubilee clip and rubber patch trick, works a treat in a pinch. When I worked on oiltankers at sea, for some reason in was known (in Danish) as a "Greek gasket". Anyways, it kept the oil in the pipes, until they could be taken to the engineroom for permanent repairs 🙂

That pipe has given me more headaches on my 6715s its been pulled of twice when bed tilling for potatos its to exposed needs a stronger guard going to get one made for it

All tractor have leaks I fixed numerous leaks on my Massey recently. Then my other tractor decided to empty half tank of diesel onto the yard 😢 ah the joys of farming 😊

Our tractor had the same diesel leak last week when I filled her before mowing. A little split in the pipe. John Deeres have a serious problem with it also. Problems always arise when you are about to get busy.

Amazing what you can do with a Jubilee clip, they've saved me so many times. Like your mice pipes, will also work with drainage and making sure that you silllage isn't to wet. 👍🤗

think you might find the slots in that guard underneath round the drive shaft , they put slots in to allow for a bit of movement when shes in work , you might find itll crack through the ends if its solid , just a thought , regards from dry ol essex

We had a 6290 with a similar issue on the drive shaft Adrian. It turned out that the mounting for the bearing worked it self loose and then it started rubbing on the cover.

Hard to see but is there not a tin bracket which that 4WD shaft carrier bearing should be mounted in? I don't that bearing is doing anything sitting against the guard! 4WD Shaft needs support as I've seen them bend and break under load when walloping about.🤔

If you rub a wet bar of soap on a leaking plastic oil tank it will seal it temporarily, the soap and the oil react chemically, a neighbour who delivers oil showed me, only works on a plastic tank, not metal. A 7lb persuader can work wonders to straighten out bits and pieces

Apparently using standard sockets on impact wrench damages the impact wrench, they round off the square bit where sockets click on to as they are not flexible, My solution for this apparent problem is a short proper impact extension to act as sacrificial part, as in , they are cheap to replace when easily damaged, compared to impact wrench. Maybe look on youtube for expert videos on this subject👍

The mice pipes- I'm intrigued- iv used pipes to allow excess effluent and/or water going down the side walls to drain away. By using them for mice aswell, is there any great advantage to the silage, like increased, decreased ph, protein levels, dry matter etc? What do the mice bring to the table in terms of better quality and, if you used bigger pipes so rats could use them, would the improvements be multiplied transficially with increased vermin size?? 🧐🤔🤨🙄🫤
