I just ordered a PX+ helmet and i noticed they said to only use the cage size that matches the helmet. Apparently they are quite different with the warrior ones vs Bauer and CCM. I have a Bauer and CCM helmet already so I’m looking forward to comparing it. I sweat like crazy too so hopefully I don’t have that same problem. Shock doctor quit making the no sweat liners, those helped a ton with my CCM helmet.

Regarding the cage, I got a size large cage on a medium Re-Akt 150. Initially I was having the same problems where the cage was too wide for the helmet, but after lots of pushing the cage together, it fits perfectly. Personally I sweat a lot (so much all my equipment is soaked). With my Re-Akt 150, I don't tend to have many problems with sweat (occasionally a few drops here and there, but nothing bad). On the IMS 9.0 and Re-Akt 95, I don't remember having any sweat problems at all.

I have the Pro model. It does have a sweat management issue (I use a NoSweat absorber with it). I love the BOA system (have owned many Specialized BOA cycling helmets). Most helmets annoy me with fit. I may try CCM Tacks.

While I am glad I am not crazy and the only person with this issue, I am sorry you spent money on something that doesn't totally work for you!

It probably depends from the forehead shape because I don't have this issue at all (have Pro model).

One of my teammates now has this helmet, and his head isn't as flush against the foams like mine was and he is having no issues. But I believe the Pro model has different foams compared to the non-pro in that area

Just got this helmet can confirm the sweat issue. Easily fixed with a sweat trap sticker

Anyone else have issues with the helmet loosening during games? I have to tighten the helmet 2 or 3 times during games.

I had it and every hit I took it broke on the inside and loosened up

I tried quite a few helmets on today in my local hockey shop . This model gave me the best fit. A perfect fit actually.Only issue was when I tried it on with the cage. Without the cage the helmet feels really good and light weight. With the cage for some reason the helmets weight distribution felt off . Too much weight in front. I plan on buying this helmet and using a different cage with it . I have a weird shape head and all other helmets look weird on me. I would disagree with this model being a bigger fit. It's more the opposite being a smaller aesthetically looking fit. If your head is a bit small you probably will like it.

Just so other people see this. 4 people I know wear large CCM helmets and had to go to down a medium in this to fit similarly.

I have a wide head. The back part of my head is super wide and this helmet fits pretty well imo. You'd have to try on helmets to know.

They were one of the worst rated helmets in the Virginia Tech testing. Brutal especially for the price.
