You don't know me at all for sure but hopefully we can still have a conversation. I noticed you said you're up in Wa state, which I'll assume is Washington. I actually lived in the College Place/Walla Walla area in Southeast Washington from 2012-2015 so I'm a little familiar with Washington. Circumstances weren't great for me at the time but I enjoyed the scenery.

You have to try Chifa Jade in Paterson! Delicious! The red sauce is called “salsa de tamarindo” which is also known as sweet and sour sauce.

Peruvian/Chinese food is called Chifa. The small cup(sweet n sour sauce) is for the fried wonton. Great review 👍🏽

Similar to both Jamaica & Mexico, I believe it was the country of Peru that actually has an impressive (and sizable) Chinese Community. Peruvians, Jamaicans & Mexicans in specific parts of Mexico sometimes actually eat at Chinese restaurants in their native Countries. The Philippines actually has quite a large Chinese Community & population within that Country as well. I can only assume & speculate that all the ingredients had to come together sometime. All 4 of these countries (and island) 🏝️ coexist together with the Chinese culture & community. Other countries across the globe do the same as well. Namely the United States, Canada & parts of Europe. I believe Dubai & the UAE as a whole is extremely ethnically & culturally diverse, just like South Africa.
