Currently 32 and I've lived in Dereham all my life as have my parents and my late grandparents. Whilst it's certainly changed even during my lifetime it doesn't make me any less proud to be an East Dereham native.

what use to be dereham boys secondary school was the best and still is the best school in the country shame I could not stay there till I was 16 as we moved away schools everywhere else are so poor but this school has the best education. amazing town amazing people lots of good old friends still keep in touch

My memories of dereham where seeing bedknobs and broomsticks dereham cinema, and the rides at fairground . The last 2 weeks we lived there we had a good look round dereham should have had a camera because we didn't want to move it was my father had promotion to Stockport Cheshire things haven't been the same since but we do visit from time to time.

When key market opened my mother had a look round first day she bent down in a freezer to look for food, and realised the managers were having a photo taken for proverbs the dereham times we have not been able to find that picture .

waiting for bus home from school and messing with the first ever bank machine which had a cover over it a friend pressed a letter, and then went from 10 to 1 and the cover opened so you could put your pin in we never got any further!

Great place for over sized vapes "Turkish" haircuts and illegal cannabis vapes these days. Zero policing only open shops are cash laundering or charity shops. Vet sad place these days
