I remember getting on a random game website as a young boy and playing the first two epic battle fantasy. They were fun and I particularly love turn based but it was missing a little something. Not too long after the third one came out and it was exactly what I loved. I played that thing over and over until Akron was just common enemy to me. It was around that point I decided to figure out this guy and play his other stuff. Bullet heaven was insanely fun but I was not as good as my brother. EBF4 came out and that might be the first game I 100%. It got to the point where I had it open on my lab top at all times. When the 5th one came out two of my buddies bought me gift cards to get the game on steam. This series was crucial to getting me through bus rides and summers. Thank you for the memories and being fuel for my love of the turn-based.

I really could want a mechanic that you can counter attack if the foe misses, or foe can counter attack if you miss! And also a mechanic where you could also have make more dmg by simply clicking at the timing whenever the hit and dmg comes in

Thanks matt for continuing to build these games past the flash and touching alot of people’s hearts in the community you ended up making. I still think EBF is the final fantasy of flash literally and is up there as the greatest flash series of all time, at least in RPG genre.

My cousins showed me Epic Battle Fantasy 2 when I was around 7 years old, and it was awesome. My father thought of Epic Battle Fantasy 3 strategies with me, and it was awesome. The music, mechanics, ideas, artstyle and humorous writing of this entire series is awesome. I thank Kupo707 for being cool and doing cool things.

I really love Epic Battle Fantasy series, I've been playing it before way back in 2012 where I was super immersed in flash games, I really like turn based strategy games (Played FF1-6) and this is just perfect game that is unique and tons of references from popular games, I can't forget about the beautiful ost that makes the game's atmosphere better, also love the fanart the community provides, shows how much love the series receives

And everyone who helped you: Phyrnna with her beautiful soundtracks, Ronja Wiander with cool arts, Jay, mice B etc. - with awesome designs, Valerii Kireev, Max Voytov, Aru Kotsuno, Aldo Fitor - with translation to my language (I'm ok with english, but now it's just a masterpiece), And everyone else, who didn't make it in my comment. Hey Matt, I always loved your EBF games I played almost all of them, next on my list is EBF 5. I remember playing the third one and loving it so much and I was like: "No way he can make a better one" and then when the fourth one launched I was HOOKED. I consider them to be the best flash games ever made.

I remember playing the original trilogy back on Onemorelevel and Armorgames in 4th grade so so many years ago. Absolutely my favorite flash game to make the afterschool hours fly by since my mom was a teacher at my school so I'd stay with her while she did her work. Come to find EBF4 and 5 a decade later. I'm so glad this once-niche passion project has made a name for itself and persevered for so long.

Since i was a little Kid. The RPG Genre was my Favourite Genre and it is still today. I remember playing Epic Battle Fantasy 4 for the First Time on Spieleaffe. It was my favourite Game ever when Flash Games was still a thing. I played it Everyday but sadly i never finished it. I played to the last part of the game everytime :/. I love this series and in my Opinion its better than any Turn-Based Rpg that are made today. I thank you Matt for giving us this great piece of beautiful art. I hope we will maybe see some Console Editions of EBF5 in the future. That would be very cool.

Man, I got introduced to EBF4 back when I was like 6, when randomly scrolling through a flash game website. Had I not seen the cover art for the game and thought "hey, that looks pretty cool, I wanna try it", I may never have developed my love for turn-based RPGs, or video games in general. I got introduced to this game series on the hairy edge of being too young to remember it, when things were still fuzzy and blended together. It's never quite left my head since, every now and then I have to come back and check it out, finally got around to buying the collection this time. Love all the characters, they're all radiant. Anna and Lance are my favorites, love Lance's edge and how it's typically blunted by. . . everything, unless he's in his fortress or shooting someone through the tank he dropped on them (I have to say that "insanity" fanart in the one gallery room goes absolutely insane, I can't not). Strangely Anna seems closest to Lance right before things get serious at the end. Ecofascism? Perchance.

I think started playing shortly before ebf 3, and by the time I beat 2, 3 was out. I never beat 4, and now 5 is... Well it's awesome! I do wish that 1-5 was on mobile, but I'm sure that's on the schedule eventually. Also, I love all the music, even the copyright unfriendly music from the original version of the first game. Got nothing but respect for you Matt, you are absolutely amazing.

I still play it regularly EBF5 regularly (the remixed modes are so much fun, though I wish Skill Remix/Randomized skills was a thing).
