I have been in love with Shout Factory for the past 4 years now. They have been providing the kind of things no one else seems to be willing to. Their prices are definitely up there but then they don't have the advantages the established companies have that have been running for decades now and still provide us with actual crap.

I had loading problems for Zero-One on my Multi-Region Player where it would freeze on the menu but it fixes itself normally by loading it twice in a row then once you play an episode it's fine. So if turned off the player I wouldn't have any other problems till I changed the discs.I thought it was just a problem with my player and these disc for some reason.

Generation Kikida ship worldwide I imported it like in 2018 or something to Scotland. Only from their website, I think since I had to order from there.

Nice retrospective. I own the 01 Blu Ray and it's a visually appealing release despite the Toei restrictions. I really want to see Ryuki Blu Ray sometime in the future (maybe Episode Final bundled in eh?). While I do have critiques of Kamen Riders Western Push, these releases in quality aren't one of them. Really excited for ZO dvd from Mediablasters.

My problem is that Toei at the moment only seem to recognise the United States and have shown no willingness or consideration for any other country that might want these releases such as the UK. This release is sadly region coded meaning that even somebody who wanted to support the release outside of America cannot without already owning a region free blu ray player or some external blu ray drive for a modern computer. I really hope that the global roll out will increase - but if it's anything like it was with the anime shows they do it will be YEARS Crunchyroll have only recently in the last few years convinced them to put One Piece on the service. Dragon Ball Super was a big deal at the time as it was one of the first simulcasts in the UK. My understanding is it's to do with Toei Europe specifically who can be very difficult to work with and are quite anti-streaming.

A year later and sadly no new Sentai releases since Dekaranger, the only new KR was Black Rx from Discotek. No new KR from Shout Factory and we are still not sure if when we are getting Shin J Zo /First and Next……….

I hope we get more physical Rider releases over here. I'd love to have Kabuto which I know that's not gonna happen anytime soon and would have to wait after certain seasons come out first but still. I'm still amazed at all the Tokusatsu DVD and Blu Ray releases we've gotten. Back in high school I thought I was lucky to have Tiga and the original Ultraman (which I didn't know at the time it was under Chaiyo) on DVD now we've got a dozen Sentai (which was great while it lasted) most of the Ultraman series which Tsuburaya and Millcreek do a better job at consistent releases, a small handful of Kamen Rider and the one that took me by surprise, Juspion from Metal Heroes.

Oh yea. We’re totally in a golden age of physical Toku releases. Not only just the ones you’ve mentioned but Media Blasters having stuff like Hakaider, Zeiram and Zebraman on Blu-Ray is fantastic

I rewatched this bluray set the next two days after I received it and while I loved it I felt like the presentation was incredibly cheap between using the same image for the discs the poster and the home screen. And mildly frustrated that we didn't get any of the vcinemas but I still love this set and I hope it is a sign of more to come. At the very least ichigo kuuga and ryuki. Oh and it took about 3 minutes to load on my ps4 I totally forgot until this

@@Soundout12 yea probably but I can still grumble about it. I was also upset that the sub group that I'd been using since 09 had recently been given the C&D so I couldn't even watch them/ find them from a reliable source. The salt was very thick on that fresh wound.

They both reinterpret the first Kamen Rider story but The First takes a love story approach vs Shin’s approach of sticking closer to the original manga’s style

I knew of the Kamen Rider V3 dvd, its high price and where you can get it are the reasons I don't own it. I never knew about Media Blasters dvd for Kamen Rider The First or the Kamen Rider movie that was made into a Sega CD game (and I wasn't surprised that it was just a movie that occasionally has you pressing certain arrows, cause that's what the Sega CD did outside of Sonic CD). I do hope the original, Kuuga and Ryuki get physical releases of some kind. This way, even if Shout Factory loses the license to Kamen Rider, there will still be a way to legally purchase the shows.

Good to know the V3 set isn’t out of print, even if it did skyrocket in price. Also, a interview with the lead. Still haven’t seen it though, also did you zero-one. I love the show minus others since it’s sucked and the blu-ray is fantastic. Got any fave rider shows I’m very fresh and the only ones I have seen are Build, Gaim, and Zero-One to completion. I loved Gaim when I saw it last year it’s my new favorite tokusatsu show in general I think it’s perfect and hope I get a Blu-ray go that from Shout Factory. I’m also currently watching Blade and Revice. Again tell me some of your favorites if you want and which ones you’d beg to see on Blu-ray. I have a feeling we will get one Blu-ray for each year in January and an announcement in September probably.
