Growing up at a very little farm, only nine to max 12 cows, some pigs, chicken, ducks, sheep, just enough to feed a family of nine. I recognized, my father looked so kind after the well being of all animals, including hoof trimming. Didn’t matter we would slaughter them. They had a real happy life, before got eaten. We have to trete them absolutely good, until they are going the last mile. Most people don’t understand, where meat comes from. And we have to use every thing, we are able to eat or use( leather) to honor all these animals. Bless them.
@sharonpace4972 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Even a meat cow deserves humane treatment. Good food clean water and room to do what makes a cow happy. Then...they have one very bad day. Dairy cows are mostly sweet and affectionate.

Our family moved from the northeast in the US about 2hrs from NY city. We now live in the lower southeast. We lived in a tiny house. We purchased 32 acres with two homes and plenty of room for gardens and farm animals. We are planning to produce enough to feed 9 people as much as we can. Our whole attitude on life has become so serene.

There’s nothing like country living. I’m on 41 acres in NW Montana, with a river 5 minutes away and surrounded with tree covered mountains. I’ll take your little guys fishing any time. I love it. I think we could find a bit bigger fish for them.

I'm three miles from the city centre but have a pocket of about 10 acres of woods with deer and turkeys behind my house. Convenience of city and major airport plus the peacefulness of country life - Scotland is on my bucket list for 2025. And COFFEE is my heaven but I make mine with a pour over. Instant only when I travel.

I live in Montana, too. I miss living in the country. The one thing I don't miss is having to drive an hour+ for appointments or shopping once a month in winter. Going over passes stinks during winter time. Lol I honestly don't know how somebody can live on the Eastern side of MT. Too flat and it would drive me crazy. I netrto be surrounded by trees and mountains. I do really miss having no neighbors and the quietness of the country. And no traffic except the usual tractor and cows. Lol

Seeing where you live, watching the front hoof trim, those cute little blue hooves, seeing how you track the hoof cracks, watching the cow pee on you 😂, seeing how the cows live, seeing how they milk and clean their teets 😮, learning about the UK, not understanding a word said even though it was in English and then seeing that final trim where half the hoof fell away. ❤❤❤
