i had to open up my cabin for everyone, i had locked everything up and put up 50 no trespassing signs but once a single human being spots your trail, they follow it, when they see the cabin they get excited and when the see the locked door and shutters, they break in, ransack the place, vandalize everything and steal the rest.... when you leave it open, stock some food and firewood, they seem to be much less angry

You can often see that she is concerned about it and sort of wants to remind you to come back and get it. It's neat how dogs will place themselves between two things/people if they seem to be in danger of getting separated.

I think it is a natural instinct, my little dog (Chiwi/CairnTerrier-X) does that often on our walks/hikes. Sometimes I drop a glove, and she is ahead of me. When she stops, she looks behind me and keeps staring at me, so i know there is 'something' that requires my attention. She also waits for me when I'm falling behind for ehatever reason. Like I do for her when she is having a 'sniffing-blast'. Animals are respectful and we are their leader, so.... I love it when we are walking and she is far ahead of me, then stops, looks where I am, and keeps looking at me until I caught up, like "are you ok, mom?", and other people can't believe that she does that by free will, instead of running away like most other dogs would do.

It makes you feel good about humans when you see how people are pitching in to maintain that beautiful cabin. Nice to see you and Rocko getting out into the woods. Man that hotspring is great. It's nice that they made the valve system without going too far and spoiling the natural setting. Ol Rocko the mouse-hunter! My friend is a commercial organic farmer and she has a couple of dogs like Rocko. They are mouse/vole hunting about 95% the time their outside. There is not greater excitement for them.

Every crock pot i've ever had came from a thrift store. I'm imagining half of them are abandoned wedding presents. I definitely use it more and in different ways since being inspired by FF. Even take it out in my van once in a while!
