A massive crane hoisted two approximately 5 metre by 15 metre “modules” of Hubert Girouard and Louise Aubin’s new home and set them down on the foundation constructed on their Stittsville lot. Over the coming weeks, the three-bedroom, two-bath home constructed by Guildcrest Homes, will be “stitched” together, get a roof and be hooked up to services. The couple chose a factory-built home because it was built in a controlled environment free of rain, snow and fluctuations in temperature and humidity - it also minimizes disruptions to neighbours.
