@digitalblasphemy11009 жыл бұрын
Why can't we take images of the moon with hubble and get this kind of resolution? We can and we have. And the only dark places on the moon are in the deepest craters on the poles of the moon. The dark side is just a name but it receives just as much solar radiation and sunlight as the near side. And there are many reasons to go back to the moon but unfortunately it's not up to NASA. Out of 100 or so project line items entered by NASA each year, only about 5% actually get approved for funding.

The crazy thing too is that some dots are probably composed of a few stars, then there are others that are probably hidden behind various gas clouds... The scope of a single galaxy is rather mind boggling. Then compound that with the amount of galaxies we've simply observed... We are constantly discovering more and more galaxies as our deep space imaging technology advances. More recently scientist are realizing that they greatly underestimated the amount of galaxies exist, JUST within our observable universe. Millions became Billions. And that's just what we can see of the Universe. I can't ever stop thinking about it, but I'll never comprehend the scale of our universe.
