Mike and his Dad (Ron) had left for home and the last two days of the trip were just for my Dad and I. We picked two completely new spots that really produced for us. For the last day of the hunt, I chose a walk in area that was on our way home. That spot and that hunt turned out to be a hunt that the three of us, Cooper included, surely will never forget. I really hope you guys enjoy this video, which will be the last from South Dakota. I really enjoyed making it. Nice hunt, good boy Cooper. Yep, it really sucks when we lose a cripple. Best we can do is have a dog who will give it their best shot. Anyone who says their dog never loses one must not hunt much. Congrats on the Sharptail. I've never taken one of them but have taken a Prairie Chicken.

Hey Steve, thanks for watching I’m glad you liked the video. South Dakota doesn’t have a lot of public land, but everything we hunted was available for anyone to hunt. We hunted a lot of walk in areas, which is private land available to be hunted. I say get that trip done it truly did live up to the hype for us.

Hey rob love your video’s, I bought a ll bean vest like you wear, the only real complaint on the reviews was you can’t put a box of 12 gauge shells in the front pouches, how do you deal with it, thanks

Which vest do you have? I believe mine is a couple year old model and I heard they changed it. I’m not sure what they changed, but mine will fit one box of 2&3/4 12 gauge in each pouch. If I am going out for war, I will rip off the top and leave them in the box. The box then slides right into the pouches.

Hey Gus, thanks for watching. I use a Franchi Instinct L in 12 Gauge. I absolutely love it. CZ makes a good gun for the price, but it simply doesn't compare in fit, finish and feel to the Franchi, trust me I own over-unders from both companies.

Sure, I could, but I think it’s important for people to understand that it happens. It sucks. Do the right thing and count it against your limit. I try to show a real hunting experience. Not edited up to make me and my dogs look better than the average hunter. I know other hunters on KZbin who lose birds on camera and go on to kill more until they fill their bag limit. That’s who you don’t want to be.
