1. Get self confidence by going out there and doing the stuff with awareness 2. Focusing your attention on it when it's happening and prevent shrinking back 3. Deliberate practice with the healthy relationship supports/friends to go to after you've stood up to the bully/narc in your life

This has happened so much, especially in Christian Baptist churches where husband is the ruler and the wife submits!!

Yes my ex charmed all the counselors prior and was shocked a counselor saw it and then it made sense. I wanted so much to change myself. I had hoped it was me.

you get past the narcissists voice by replacing it with the word of God and encouraging others who encourage and validate you. recognize how you talk to yourself and take ownership of changing the narrative. you don't have to listen to other people's voices, the devils voices or even yourself. inform yourself, transform yourself and own your future instead of responding to those who have taught you to live by their opinions.

Ok I have a question. I am separated from my narcissistic ex, but now I am seeing my boys acting like him because of the critical and harsh ways he speaks to them, then they come to me with the same way of disrespectful talk, but how do I talk to them about this and deal with this to teach my sons that how they are speaking is disrespectful when 1) they are constantly seeing it in their dad and 2) I can’t speak negatively about him to my sons?

You don’t have to speak negatively about him but you can call out wrong behavior. Don’t leave it up to society to teach your boys what’s right and wrong. You can say “men are not supposed to talk to women this way” etc...You are the example of how women should allow themselves to be treated. If you put up with disrespect/emotional abuse, they will most likely treat their wives/other women the same way. Don’t judge the sinner, but judge the sin. You will be doing ur kids a favor and the future women they date. Also, if he is patronizing or being manipulative or verbally abusive to them, they need to learn how to stand up for themselves. You can guide them through that process. They are probably victims too. God bless you! 😇🤍💖
