It's surprising how many people repeat the same naive and simplistic mantra about how "AI will completely replace" translators and humans when things like these keep happening. Besides copyright (who owns the content produced by generative AI and has generative AI also used copyrighted content when producing your output) and privacy (do you have control over any personal/confidential data you feed an AI machine), this is another issue that we should regularly discuss in our content marketing towards clients.

100%. I think I mentioned confidentiality in a past video. Samsung employees were in hot water because they entered some confidential information into Chatgpt. I'd think most law firms, banks, hospitals, government agencies, companies and plenty of organizations and individuals would not want all the documents they translate to end up on a database somewhere. Copyright is definitely another issue, and it is probably only a matter of time until it ends up in the news for the same reasons.
