My thinking is this; the black players have always been dynamic in sports by and large, white players not so good. But, along comes pistol Pete, Larry Bird and then Caitlin Clark and it casts a light on these players. They’re white and they dominate and this creates hate, bias, jealousy and violence against them because they are white and play the game in a sense better than the black players. It’s an instant upheaval on the court and suddenly there is retaliation on the black players part to take the white players down and allow them as little as possible for the public to celebrate. This is terrible sportsmanship. This needs to stop, but, I doubt it will happen. The refs can’t be counted on for being fair. This whole thing is what is getting the public’s eyes on. It’s all about adapting and accepting the truth. These things happen.

Classic sophistry. Hogwash! Wilson is a different kind of player than Clark. They weren't in competition with each other. A'ja Wilson is 28, a 6"4" center, an established All Star, and an Olympics candidate for Team USA MVP. Clark is only 22, inexperienced at WNBA-level play, a 6"0" point guard, who hasn't played a full WNBA season yet. Wilson has no basis for personal concern but social media has imposed nonsense on an actual non-issue, affecting other WNBA players who haven't been shown as lesser players than rookie Clark. CC's day will come, when and if she earns that--in the WNBA.
