Aja Wilson should NOT be the MVP. We've been told by everyone that the Olympics chose "the best players in the world for Team USA." Aja Wilson is on a stacked team. The Aces have 4 Olympic gold medalists on the floor every game. You're not the MVP when your entire team is stacked with "the best players in the world." You're just another "best player." On the other hand, Caitlin Clark is on a team that hasn't had a winner record since Obama was in office. She took the worst team in the WNBA to the finals in her first year. Furthermore, under Caitlin Clark the Indiana Fever have more wins in 2024 than their past two years combined. Caitlin Clark also has as many Triple Doubles in her rookie year as Sheryl "Cream of Wheats" Swoopes had in two decades. Dinosaur Taurasi has been playing since before Abraham Lincoln was president and she doesn't even have ONE Triple Double. Two centuries of playing basketball and Dinosaur Taurasi still doesn't pass the ball.

they are trying to find the Most Valuable Player in the WNBA, If the title was Best Player in the WNBA, then we go simply with stats. But if we want to know who the most VALUABLE, its STATS, Viewership, Merch sales, Ticket sales and good representation of the W Brand, that is CC22. That is what any company wants, if you are there everyday, never missed a day, that would make you a great employee, but if you grow the company you are the MOST VALUABLE EMPLOYEE. Shout me out if you agree :)

When they dissed CC, they woke the sleeping giant, poked the bear, grabbed the tiger by the tail, played with fire, opened Pandora's box, bit off more than they could chew, walked into the lion's den, shot themself in the foot, let the dogs out, put a hit on Vito Corleone, lit the fuse, drank the Kool-aid, unleashed the kraken, wrote a check they could not cash, crossed the Rubicon, told Tommy to go home and get his shinebox, leaped before looking, painted themself into a corner, tripped the wire, rocked the boat, stepped on a crack, did not stay in their lane, touched a nerve, stole John Wick's car and killed his dog, put their foot in their mouth, brought a knife to a gunfight, bombed Pearl Harbor, stirred up the hornet's nest, kicked against the goads, ran with the bulls, stepped on a rake, slipped on a banana peel, dropped the ball, swam with the sharks, danced with the devil, tripped over a land mine, poured gasoline on fire, boarded the RMS Titanic, tugged on Superman's cape, spit into the wind, pulled the mask off the old Lone Ranger and messed around with Jim.

CC is MVP, she took the worst team in the league and turned it into a serious contender, and the team is not even built to cater to her skills. She has to slow her game down so that others can catch up. She is a hybrid of Steve Nash's assist and run and gun style and Steph Curry's shooting. There is no argument to be made, she is the most valuable player to her team. She is literally a game changer and I bet she will have a 30 for 30 before Aja does if Aja ever gets a 30 for 30.

C.C. has helped her team from losers to playoff. She has several WBNA records as a rookie, should be rookie of the year. Has tied assist record, scores 18pts. Per game, good rebounder and has a humble personality. She is not selfish. Those that are placed ahead of C.C. although good could not carry her water. She had just finished a grueling 40 game season at Iowa where she had led her Iowa team, a non basketball school to the NCAA championship game for the second year in a row. With no rest and playing with a team she never had time to practice with , faced the most daunting schedule ever put together against any team in the history of the WNBA, forced to play 11 games in 20 days against the best teams in the league, mostly on the road, where other teams main objective was to stop Catlin, including full court pressure at the start of the game. The fact that they even won 2 of those games and Catlin did a well as she did under the circumstances is a minor miracle. Aja Wilson was on a well established team surrounded by other stars and never in her entire career faced the defensive pressure Catlin faced. So trying to figure things out simply because of stats doesn't apply in this situation. And while Aja's team is sinking fast as her numbers are going up, kind of reminds you of a person named Angel doesn't it? in the mean time, 4 other players beside Catlin are having career years for the Fever. As long as this is still called a TEAM sport, Catlin is truly the MVP of the league. And I wouldn't doubt the WNBA is encouraging Aja to become the scoring and rebounding machine she is in order them to deny the MVP to Catlin even if it means sacrificing the team goals. The Olympic break was just what the doctor ordered and Clarks numbers after the break easily compairs to Aja's. Total points responsible for Catlin is far ahead of anybody, and is another seasonal all time record she is going to break, even with the relatively slow start. Catlin will basically own the rookie all time record book accept for total rebounds and rebounds in a game, although she will break the record for most rebound by a rookie guard in a game and in a season. And will most likely break the record for most rebounds in a season by a guard. And she will own major stock in the season all time record list. NOW WHO DO YOU THINK THE MVP SHOULD BE? Let me get your comments.

Who said Reese is "better than expected"? Her personal achievements do not translate into team success. So what is the point besides padding?

Caitlin is like Magic or Bird with their court vision that involves the whole team and therefore elevates their game. Aja is the kind of player that is the offense as well, give her the ball and get out of the way. As dominant as she may be, that arguably makes her teammates worse. Who would you rather play with?

The ROTY debate was over long ago, so there's no point discussing it, apart for why it was fabricated. The MVP is not the best player, but the one that adds the most value to their team. Statistically this can be gauged most easily by wins or by +/-, for example. Anointing someone for MVP of the season because of their performance or achievements in the previous year's playoffs (or in the Olympics) is ludicrous. Other channels covered it, and the true MVP should be CC22, although she most probably won't get it, for obvious (bad) reasons. P. S. I hope they get the Lynx and send them packing.

Take care of yourself..... Oh yeah.... The internet happened... Yeah I'm here but the internet does not run my life. This popped up in my feed and I thought I'd take a look at it.... Reese double dribbles twice at 6:38 and carry’s the ball. She’s got some funky dribbling. This is a style of dribbling and not an isolated incident. It’ll start getting called.

CC is the best rookie, but slagging ESPN is misplaced. The rankings are based on an average of various advanced value metrics, all of which have been used for a long time and none of which were developed by ESPN. They stated their methodology from the get go and there's value in not changing the methodology mid-stream. The problem is that all these advanced stats value offensive rebounds very highly. This makes sense because they are *extremely* valuable. But Angel's, not so much. Why? Because they frequently come from her own miss, and she has had many possessions where she racks of 2 or 3 offensive rebounds in one possession. This is unusual and the models don't account for it very well.

CC is definitely a top 2 MVP because she change how Fever play their game from the pace alone and catering towards her playstyle where she's the center of their offense. You can see that every time she's on the floor that 90% of the time her teammates gives the ball to her when the ball is with them or they rebound that or steal it it always passes to CC for majority of their possession of the ball

At beginning of season when she got waylayed and she just shrugged it off but at the end of the clip she adds but it seems no one really paid much attention. “I’ve been watching the WNBA my entire life, I know what it’s about and what to expect(Paraphrasing) So she knew what was coming, the whole thing, the resentment, the jealousy and the negativity. And she knew she just needed time. Time for her to make her adjustments to her own game and time with new teammates. Because she knew then that she was going to take it over and that they would see she would be amazing for all of them. See that she was actually there for them. She wanted to save in her childhood favorite league because she loves it so much. She knew she could make it happen

Please remember that the so-called slow start for Catlin was mainly caused by her teammates not realizing that they could win games. Once Clarke convinced them that winning was a team sport, and proving that she IS the most unselfish player of this generation, that's when everyone on team began to shine. That is the main reason she was disrespected by other players because 1) There are players that would never share the spotlight with others. 2) There are players who woke up to the fact that they used to be pretty damn good players themselves!
