If she went up against a conditioned amateur who played high level HS or Junior College, she’d get dominated. She would never get the shot opportunities that she gets in this league.

She’s good and was been in the league quite long but doesn’t attract viewers that could earn big gate receipts so that NBA will no longer donating money to the league.

when the shot is in the air, it is time to find a body and prepare for a miss. it's a "deer-in-the-headlights" situation for the vast majority of these players when someone shoots... wide-eyed, worshipping the ball in the air, rather than treating each moment as a crucial part of the game. It seems silly to me that the highest level of basketball is incapable of understanding this. The NBA is only slightly better at boxing out or tactfully stretching the floor rather than freezing up when the ball is in the air, but holy smokes these WNBA players need to know how to truly compete.

Diana Taurasi, for one, gets it. That's why she is 40 years old and still an all-star level player. But it seems quite rare. A'ja gets it too. She is impressive.

James Harden literally dropped 35 a night refusing to use his right hand… he still doesn’t use his right hand. Julius Randle also refuses to use his right hand and gets 25 a night. Zion can’t go right. Also it’s a fact that young MJ couldn’t go left. That’s not an opinion. He literally couldn’t go left. He eventually adapted and could use either hand but for a min he couldn’t go left. If you know that players weakness and you can’t stop it, then it doesn’t matter. I know for a fact Giannis cannot shoot. That man doesn’t even have a midrange jumper but he can get 35 a night at will cause he’s that dominant. Y’all think these mfers don’t got scouting reports 🤨 if they could stop it THEY WOULD

If thats the WNBA GOAT Till now, Mark my words. Clark in third year will be considered the GOAT. No one in the WNBA plays Basketball, except for these two. And Clarks movements are a lot better. Aja wilson will be forgotten. I swear

Her fundamentals are good but no flair to the game. If Caitlyn Clark is Curry, Wilson is basically Dirk. Problem is nobody really liked watching Dirk. It was a boring game based on fundamentals and a mid range shot. Most she's ever put up is 53, which sounds high but for a career high is actually fairly low and insignificant. NBA players putting up 50 regularly against taller, stronger, more capable defenders. Sorry but you aren't going to manipulate me into being an Aja Wilson fan if she just not that entertaining a player.

@gordonwobby223 Aja is an incredible player but you said it best it's just not as exciting as the play style of Caitlin Clark. I'm trying do some research on why Aja's comment about the Clark effect is a race thing and I just don't see it. It's all about entertainment in the end because that sells tickets.

Dirks high arcing 3s and turnaround fadeaways were beautiful to watch! I agree on the rest of his game, but his shooting was masterful. I'd say more like Duncan. Duncan is literally called The Big Fundamental. Also young Dirk was actually pretty exciting, much faster paced, ran the court and dunked from pretty far out, and even had a bit of a crossover. You should check him out if you haven't seen young Dirk.
