Jak and Daxter having a movie? That'll be cool, I might even get back and do a marathon of me playing through the games. I did see that Uncharted movie, it was good, since I am a fan of the series and it was good.

Wow, a Jak & Daxter movie. It shows some promise but do have my concerns. I did seen the Uncharted film and it was quite good, so having the same director who did it working on Jak & Daxter could work. Say, do wonder have you seen Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank & the two Sonic films?

Yeah it's nice to see a director of a movie based on one Naughty Dog franchises planning on making another one. There is potential, but we'll have to wait and see. As for your question; the only one I have seen is the first Sonic movie and I had a good time with it. I definitely want to see the second one. Jim Carrey was hilarious as Robotnik. I heard that Ratchet and Clank was a disappointment, but I can't say much. I am interested to watch Uncharted.

Been watching your channel ever since 2012 and loved your content especially your top tens, very interesting to hear your thoughts. Although as for VAs to voice jak, I would want the OG Mike Erwin to voice jak. Last year if I recall he did a couple interviews even showing he still has the voice. It pretty surreal to know he still has jak's voice. For me personally, I want everyone who was involved with the games to be involved with the movie. For instance, bringing back Clancy Brown as Baron Praxis if he returns or even the classic computer voices like Susan Eisenburg. Heck bring Andrew Gavin and Jason Rubin for directing potentially and writing, more so for Andrew. I can see incredible potential here if the movie does well, we could see another game in development, Jak 4 maybe? Possibly. Edit: Me personally, I would not want to see Tom Holland involved, he is talented don't get me wrong, but it would be mis casted to hell which I fear may happen. At least for main roles, maybe a supporting but not main.

I definitely agree, I think Holland would be a poor choice as either Jak or Daxter. Well we can only wait, hope and see if it is green lit.

I really hope this leads to us getting a new Jak & Daxter game as well, once Insomniac is done with Wolverine they'd be my ideal pick

Lmao 2023: SM2 2024: Wolverine 2025: new IP multiplayer game 2026: RA sequel They're never going to work on Jak even if they wanted to.
@RJH7552 жыл бұрын
@@TerrorOfTalos Wait do we know about the new multiplayer IP? And what does RA stand for? I would have thought perhaps Daredevil or Doctor Strange would be next most realistic game for them to work on after Wolverine, Jak is more a wish than an expectation

@@RJH755 There was a job listing in may that mentioned a new multiplayer IP, it's definitely still in pre-production. Also RA means Rift Apart.

Ever heard of Dofus, Book 1: Julith? It's a rather obscure French video game movie based on a 2D MMO. It was really good, would recommend.

Honestly I see Christian Bale fitting a more serious Jak better. Just got to make him ease on the gruffness otherwise we'd just have another Nolan Batman.
@ChiefShadow17502 жыл бұрын
That's someone I hadn't thought of. He would play a good serious Jak. Definitely agree on easing the gruff.

A Jak and Daxter movie would be pretty cool to see. However, I can't really see Tom Holland being Jak if the movie is going to be set around the Precursor Legacy timeline or Jak 2, because Tom Holland sort of feels like that geeky yet cool type person which he does greatly with Spider Man, but if it's in Precursor Legacy I might give it a shot. As for if it's animated or live action, Tom Holland did Uncharted in live action and part of that is concerning to me as video game movies in live action don't get the best reputation. Though ironically the Detective Pikachu movie and the 2 Sonic movies were able to do some form of justice by being faithful to the original source materials but not 100% of the time. Though the Mario Bros movie is being animated yet Chris Pratt and Jack Black are providing the roles (but I personally feel that the actual Video Game actors should be providing the main role, not some A List celebrities). And I think I heard there's positive receptions on the Uncharted movie, but I never watched it as I was never interested in Uncharted, well compare to Naughty Dog's previous works like Jak and Daxter. In a ideal Jak and Daxter movie, it needs to be fully animated, have most of the original cast return to reprise their roles (not sure the status of some of the actors these days), the original characters and die heart fans come together and work on the movie itself. Or in a nut shell something like what the Ratchet and Clank movie did but needs to do better. So as of right now, I'm rather iffy if not overly concern on the idea of a Tom Holland Jak and Daxter movie, not because it's a live action video game movie, but whether or not if it's going to capture the spirit of what made the Jak and Daxter series so iconic and memorable of not just the PS2 titles, but also as one of many beloved Sony Video Game IPs and all of gaming IPs in my opinion.
@ChiefShadow17502 жыл бұрын
Those are solid points. I too am not a fan of the idea of Tom Holland playing either Jak or Daxter, because his acting style doesn't fit the personality of either character. I haven't seen the Uncharted movie so I don't have an opinion. I agree that the movie would need the same charm as in the games, but it would be very difficult. If a Jak and Daxter movie is green lit, I would make changes if I was director.
