In today’s video, we are talking about Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy that means “to become good through change”. Contrary to what is peddled, overnight success only happens when you win the lottery. Realizing your goals, if they aren’t lottery-related, takes time and continuous improvement.

Thank you for the video as a Lean practitioner, this video hilite 3 key points in Kaizen: 1. Goal setting and chunking down into habit 2. Habit will shape someone character, eventually the destiny 3. Constant progress and Continuous Improvement. There is no overnight success. Make it sustainable

Kaizin is basically about understanding the power of momentum.

Kaizen tries to get progress slowly but steady, I think that using the "momentum" fits more into another things since when you're trying to approach momentum you will actually aim for a big jump (which is completely the opposite to slow and steady progress).

Procastination and an inability to achieve goals arise when you're entirely focused on the goal that you forget the process of getting there" that's actually good.💯 It's about the journey of constant progress not necessarily the destination.

I have been following kaizen principles from Jun -2019. Trust me this has helped me a lot. The importance of small steps and the habit of asking a question to self. "How can I improve today?" has so far proven to be a Miracle to my personal and professional life.

I subscribe to the Mr. T philosophy of the United States of America. Basically Mr. T says "I pity the fool!", and then kicks everybody's ass. If we all had the courage of Mr. T, the whole world would know freedom.

It's kai-zan, with a long a. It's not a short e. Oh, and the hare would have won if he didn't get egotistical self assured and stop to sleep. If he had kept going, he would have had an easy win. The lesson is not about speed, but constant effort. Unfortunately, everyone gets that wrong.

I enjoyed that. A long the way I heard that when Japan was rebuilt after WWll and American named W. Edward Demming introduced them to Quality Management. They took the ball and ran with it. I read Demmings book Out of the Crisis. I was just common sense. In the USA we have incompetent CEO's that ruin companies and get a golden parachute and become CEO of another company. I feel the USA needs to implement both Quality Management and Kaizen to our businesses and gov't.

i just want to be able to eat sand without having gastral problems, don't really see how i can take small steps in that
@DjLota
@DjLota 4 жыл бұрын
You can. Start eating small amounts so your body realizes that this is going to be a source of nutrition on a regular basis, the organs will adjust the nutritional intake balance accordingly. With time, you will be able to handle more and more sand without causing major issues, compared to what could happen if you ate a whole bunch of sand in one go. Good luck!
