Which, though it may bother you, is the day before Christmas on countless calendars. I'm sure your heart is in the right place, but I've heard these arguments for at least two decades. I agree with Amir Tsarfati on the subject. (Should Christians Celebrate Christmas? at Behold Israel.) Christmas, even though it is not the day Yeshua/Jesus was born, and I fully understand the origins of "Christmas", it is when we remember the night God became man and dwelt among us. Since atheists and the secular world hate Christmas so much, I am not interested in siding with them in destroying the day. The world hates it, so I suspect Satan does as well. They hate it because it takes people to the opening chapters of Matthew and Luke. It is one of two times during the year that unbelievers really consider the person Yeshua/Jesus and many accept Him as Savior... the other is His resurrection day - AKA Easter by most of the world. These are good times to witness to people because much of the world is focused on our Messiah. At these times, unbelievers are more likely to open a Bible or walk into a church. As for Michael Rood, except to say that the man has made more failed predictions than I can list, I will keep my opinions about him to myself -- out of respect for One for Israel. I suspect long drawn out conversations that really go nowhere are disrespectful. I view this channel, and the comment section, as OFI's living room. Welcome Mishpocah! Tell your family like I did mine. Start with the Ten Commandments. My family are Jews. And very stubborn! When I told my brother he was amazed an said he never heard that before. I told him I had broken every commandment. Then explained about how the Israelites needed to do a blood sacrifice. He agreed. Then I explained Yeshua to him. At least I planted that a seed. Praise Elohim! There is a book by Sid Roth Im going to send my siblings. Im excited because I know what Jehovah wants me to do. He gave me a dream of bread. There was an old Jewish woman in my dream an many loaves of bread. Sometime later he told me to feed my people. I had a similar dream with my Pastor in it. God told me the same thing. God bless you! Thank you for all your wonderful comments!......I had really thought I had to earn my way to know God ....and it was not working. I did not understand the grace of God and His forgiveness and redemption, until I read the fulfillment of the prophesies in the Tanach, and Brit HaChadasha. How Yeshua is truly the Messiah who came to save us from our sin. Came to do what we are unable to do ourselves. Praise God for His love. He came to offer the only true perfect atonement , paid the price to make us new creatures, fulfilled the old and made a new covenant with us. Restored us as children of God..... all those years I never knew about the wonderful grace of God!!
