They have spared many expenses in animation(can be seen with recycled animations especially in story) , NPC design(all NPCs have the same face and animations, no cultural differences in animation and face and others stuff), etc. whereas AAA games go further beyond with exceptional animations and not using text to convey what happens such as Kazuha flipping a guy off camera last summer. They may have spared expenses elsewhere. But Genshin does have the budget of an AAA game. Genshin may have the look of an AAA game but that look falls off pretty hard in some areas. NPCs have become boring to interact with and look at.

Thank you Mihoyo for this kind of collaborations!! Li Zhen is right: using your popularity to spread awareness about traditional art forms is a great idea and not everyone would do that!! Speaking of the vase-making itself...I'm in awe!! The technique is basically the same as virtually any ancient glazed pottery...as an archeologist it always moves me to see those same gestures that I know were repeated for...thousands of years really...And the shade and shape are exquisite!! I don't think there is any other game or media that brings new life and attention back to their rare and dying historical practices, that's integral to their home country's culture, as Genshin manages to do. Chinese Opera and now the art of Celadon will be known so wide spread and awed by millions more people across the world because of this game. And this incredible, skilled artisan has made a piece that is so meaningful to millions of young people. Genshin cares enough to provide the art of Celadon this kind of platform to millions. And I feel immensely grateful to be that targeted audience, and I wish more to learn and know. Thank you genshin impact. Thank you.

Working with pottery is great. It has something meditative, but the uncertainty of how your piece comes out, and even the fact that sometimes your items will shatter in the kiln (and for some pieces you have to fire them multiple times, and every time there is a chance it will shatter), also teaches you over time that even if your heart is broken, you can get up again and start anew. And you still put your heart in every piece, because even if it might not last, it is still worth cherishing the time you spent with it.
