In a dusty attic, Bill Poray discovered a box of old 16mm home movies from the 1930s. The New York man wondered if the people in the movies were still alive -- then sought to find out. Steve Hartman is "On The Road" with this story.

You can see the years fade away when she's watching him... and seeing herself again at that age has to be so fulfilling. This was a smile and wink from her Truelove on the other side. 👵 💖 🙏 💖

Look at that glimmer in her eyes at the end watching the film. It's like for a few moments she traveled back in time.

And he is truly the best person for it. As a former journalist myself, I have a great appreciation for people who can find and tell a great story. It is much harder than it looks.

My granny had a friend in her retirement Facility, whose was only married to her husband for a few months before he was sent overseas for ww2 sadly he died over there.and she never remarried nor had any children. Instead she drove into learning and by the time she was in her 90s ( when I knew her) she has 3 or 4 masters.

That’s incredible! These gorgeous boys-they weren’t yet men-who left into a vapor trail left so many holes in so many lives, and to think that the number of people who died around the world as a direct result to Adolph Hitler when he started WWII is estimated to be about 80 million, that’s a lot of holes which could never be filled. I’m so happy for this beautiful lady who lost such a beautiful boy to an ugly, ugly war, and got a bit of him back again!

How old is this broadcast? It is unusually sedate and positive, nothing like the news broadcasts on CBS in 2019.
