What a loss what a legend what a body of work he left for us all to continue to enjoy well into the future 🔮 and look at all those talented folks who worked with him. Going way way back to before my time. Sarah Vaughn count basie. I had the give me the 🌃 album by george benson. Even though some said he was a jazz man who sold out by going commercial. I wasn't aware at the time. It introduced me to an old standard james moodys mood. Enjoyed that bonus. Michaels living of the wall was just a prelude to the big deal thriller album. It was still a good album. Don't stop til you get enough. She's outta my life for tarum o neal. Q said i want you to cry into the microphone. You what? Yes you know. So the story goes... well so.long quincy. There must be a rock n roll heaven. 🎶 just gotta be. Go to your reward and rest now. ❤ from a fan with memories. New zealand. Thank you. XOXO 😢

In the 2018 biographical documentary "Quincy," on Quincy Jones and his life, there is a video clip of Quincy Jones being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, where Quincy Jones makes an interesting statement, saying that he and his contemporaries were not done making music, and that he and his contemporaries would continue making the best quality music they could, to leave behind for future generations. The way Quincy put it, is that we want our work to speak for itself, so much so, that future generations "will know we came through here." Loved the way Quincy put it. For what it’s worth Mr. Jones, future generations will know the likes of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley and Prince "came through here," and future generations too, will know that Quincy Jones "came through here." Rest in Peace, Mr. Jones. Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 5th November 2024.

RIP Quincy Jones. I’m still feeling sad because the White House still hasn’t honored the late Norman Lear with a reception, & Caroll Spinney, the late original man behind Big Bird, still hasn’t been honored by a President either.
