the thing is..all those orca's can't be freed at all....they are not adapted for the ocean now..and would most likely die of starvation..because of lack of skills....all they can really do now is build a better and larger area for them and not bring any new ones in...also i believe that seaworld will no longer be allowing public appearances of the orca's at any of their faculties now...at least they will no longer be using them for entertainment.

That's adorable! And Kalia, too, deserves credit. It's easy for the orcas to just ignore the people on the other side and swim laps, but apparently both of them were in an interactive mood and got to create a memorable experience for the visitors.

Yes, they are in an interactive mood here, but what else is there for them to do really. They are pretty darn limited in this tank. It would be like sticking a human in his bathroom for the rest of his life. On some days they'd find that person playing with the water tap or throwing the bath plug against the wall.

Cameron Schmid Orcas do not eat humans and are actually the safest animals in the ocean, never have they in the wild attack a human, dog, cat, as well as many other land animals besides Seals, Otters, and Birds. Orcas have even been known to have saved humans, dogs, and cats from sharks, other animals, and drowning. In some countries they even help fisherman fish.

Actually this is done only by some populations. The captive ones are mostly Residents, which are fish specialists. In fact some Residents only eat salmon. For some unknown reason killer whales don't really show aggressiveness towards humans. Besides from some infamous incidents, captive Orcas cooperate well with humans at pretty much all times and wild ones couldn't really attack a human cause you rarely see a human in the water with a wild Orca.
