This one happens to be old, but I'm really lucky to have signed new ones. "New" being a relative term. I bought them new and had the poet sign them, usually, and this would have been in the 00s. What are your favourite vintage, signed books?

I like all kinds of books 📚 Biography, crime, non fiction. Mostly true events oh and Enid blyton the children's author also makes good reading for any age, love her books. Haven't really looked into poetry but could make poetry 😉

That's a really interesting observation Danielle. The old UK poetry was just for our "elites" at a time when most of the population couldn't read or write. Canadian poetry seems to flip that on it's head. It's poetry for the masses, with everyday subjects that people easily relate to. I hope you continue the poetry this year. Hope you're doing well!!!

Yes--poets and other creative writers made their living through patronages from royalty or wealthy "commoners." They often got their education paid for by those wealthy people, too, elevating their status in society. That meant they wrote about stuff other commoners who were illiterate wouldn't have thought about! I'm glad you liked the video. It has been emotional ever since I released it. Not sure how I'm doing, quite honestly. Thanks for the kind words.
