I was so excited to see that you've made the Snow Crocus in that amazing color! (And I've been binge watching your videos ever since!) I've made two of the same sweater (in an off white yarn), one in L and one in S for my two teenagers. They really like it. This pattern is long and detailed but also a fun one to make. I simply loves the resulting garments. Now I'm really tempting to make one in this Sugar Fairy color!

Hi Helles, I love your podcasts! It was wonderful to see Versailles again, I haven't been there since 1983, but I remember it well. Other people are knitting with the fall land colors, you are knitting with the fall sky colors. So many times I wake up and watch the sun rise but instead of blue sky, the sky has a blanket of clouds in the soft blue-greys you are using. I also totally agree the colors you are using now inspire introspection and contemplation. Which should be honored as much as sunshine and activity.

I’ve never commented before, but couldn’t help myself while viewing this episode. You have created such a lovely space filled with mindfulness, beauty, knitting, and travel. I enjoy watching each and every episode. Listening as you shared about your time in the Versailles gardens brought memories of a trip my husband and I enjoyed a few years ago. It, too, was filled with a relaxing time in the gardens, knitting and munching on macarons and taking in the beauty around us as I watched my husband feed the swans. Such a beautiful day that I treasure as my husband died a few years ago. Thank you for transporting me back to that special day and for sharing the beautiful person you are with the world.❤

I so look forward to your podcasts! I did not know the underarm trick hole, so please continue to point out tricks like that one, which may be obvious to you, but not to those of us who have not made many sweaters. The colors you combine are unique and stunning. I would never attempt a multi page pattern sweater like the crocus, but I am glad you made it. This is the year I intend to graduate from the permanent "beginner status" I seem to have been stuck in for years, and move to "Intermediate" so I would appreciate all the help and tips you provide. Those skeins look very pretty ... My Nordic Knitting is doing my first, almost PetiteKnit pattern as AntiScandi as possible, I am using up leftover variegated sockyarn for a Poppy Tee, oth that is very Nordic, using what there is, and colour is actually very Nordic ... My great grandmother was a passionate dyer and weaver, my grandmother embroidered in lots of colours, and my aunts did colourful crochet and weaving ... Greetings!

Your new sweater is gorgeous. It was worth all the ripping back to get the fit right. And the colour is amazing. Your La Bien Aimee yarn from Paris is beautiful. If you hold with mohair, I agree - you dont want to dull or overshadow those beautiful colours, so would have to swatch. A lot of beautiful tops could be knit with 2 skeins of fingering weight. Many jumpers could be turned into tops. For example Corrina by Ann McCauley. It has some beautiful lace details that I think you would like. Another lovely podcast. I think making them to your own schedule is entirely sensible. It can then be content-driven and not date-driven. I have been making weekly podcasts since January this year but my schedule is going to become very busy for the next term of teaching. So i may have to switch to a "when I have content worth sharing" schedule for a period. It has to work with the rest of your life. I will watch your podcasts whenever you release them as i enjoy your makes, your travel videos and your personal nature. Thanks for sharing and the work you put into the podcast.

What a wonderful episode! Your Snow Crocus is stunning! I’m amazed with the the magic that happened combining your yarn with the mohair. I will have to experiment with different shades and see what colours it creates. The Grocery Girls are in my area and I was pleasantly surprised to find them in You Tube two years ago. They are very authentic and fun. Thank you for your podcasts. I know how much work it is to put together. I was a papercrafting designer for eight years and burned out. It is a huge time commitment coming up with new designs and sharing them on social media as well as interacting either fellow papercrafters. My advice is podcast if you feel like it and only if it brings you joy, but if it starts to become another chore, I would back off and reevaluate why you are podcasting. Your joy of knitting is priority. I haven’t done any papercrafting for three years because of burnout and trying to people please. Actually, that’s when I started knitting and now I do it for me. I love it and appreciate anyone that puts themselves out there to fellow knitters.

It’s so pretty and I’m sure up close and in person it must be so pretty and interesting to look at. It’s like painting for knitters, endless possibilities. That heat didn’t sound fun, we are hot where I live but it’s humid and I enjoy that, sweaty but not draining. I don’t do well in dry hot heat. Dye lots 😬🫤 you’re handling it well and you’d never notice and the sleeves will fade in. I always check dye lots as that’s not the type of surprise I enjoy. Totally enjoy your podcast. And I like that you are by yourself. Just like in real life I like to concentrate on the person in front of me so I'd rather go out, say to dinner, with one couple instead of 8 couples. Way too many conversations going on that people are half listening to while listening to you. However my boyfriend has way too many friends that enjoy the mob scene get togethers and I get overwhelmed. Enough on that. I too am about to start the weekender for the first time. I got the call today that my yarn is in so I'll go pick it up tomorrow and get started. The yarn I ordered is woolfolk stra in the color s07. The sample in the store was knit out of that yarn and they let me try it on... oh my goodness was it lovely next to skin. I can't wait. I've never knit a bottom up sweater before but I'm determined to get over the fear of the unknown and just do it. I was so happy to see you knitting it and the beautiful yarn you're using. Can't wait to see how you style it.

With your waterlily skeins, I vote for the Flora sweater, with a contrast plain yarn/ mohair for the lacework. It lends itself to the variegated colourway imo. Maybe hold with mohair-silk or knit as the dk guage for a lightweight, less dense fabric. Hopefully you'll have enough 😊

Thank you Helle for another lovely podcast. Paris is just beautiful any time of the year. I haven’t been there since 1980! I love the architecture of those quaint shopping arcades. I lived in Adelaide, South Australia, some years ago and the city has three of those lovely arcades. I think the French had quite an influence when Adelaide was built. Lots of hotels and houses have those beautiful iron lacework balconies. I think your yarn would make a pretty Ranunculus. I’ve knitted four of them! Such a quick knit. Have you seen the Ilha sweater by Orlane Sucche? Quite similar, but with some more detail on the body. Some of the Ravelry projects are quite beautiful. Worth checking out. It’s on my radar. I like it very much, it's absolutly warm, and I knitted two sweaters from Kofteboken 3 Ssadly, these shrunk in lenght when I washed them same way like I wash all my selfknitted sweaters, my washing maschine (miele) with wool program, usually more carefully than handwash. Still wearable for me, but a little bit sad for me. I am looking forward what Your experience might be. And when it comes to lightweigt sweaters, maybe Yamagara Knits has something in her portfolio, as she is living in warm climate. Or Eri Shimizu and Kouvive, You surely know both. Also Ankestrick from Berlin offers several summer pieces, and the Italians Knitting for breakfast.

I just finished the Ingrid sweater which turned out so beautifully and was looking for inspiration for my next knit and you certainly gave me that. I now want to knit the Franky sweater if I can find that pattern. Loved spending time watching what you've been up to, your Paris trip and the gorgeous La Bien Aimee (sp?_ yarn you bought. Look forward to future episodes.

This was enlightening for me to hear you say regarding sizing of the Midori pattern .. as I just completed the White Mountain Raglan and I was never able to get gauge of 14 STS = 4”.. and knit w DK + baby suri alpaca on required #10 US needles at XL where my daughter would normally be a M2 while still being oversized. I absolutely love the pattern fit after all the guesswork as to what size to carry on with.

Wonderful as always! ❤ You were saying that maybe you need more light sweaters. I am knitting the "Desert Spring" sweater by a designer named Jessica McDonald, it's a beautiful fingering project with some easy lace motif on the yoke. I am using Sandnes Garn Sunday. Quite intense knitting because of my size, I am making size 6, but at the same time really enjoying the process. Regards from Norway, Maria.
