Helle, thank you so much for your podcast! I find your knitting beautiful….all of it…the neutrals and the brights. It is also so wonderful to listen to your wisdom. Thank you for bringing up the topic of listeners who feel free to criticize in comments on podcasts. I am so grateful to everyone who is brave enough to put themselves “out there” on KZbin to share what they love. Knitting for me is both a creative and spiritual/meditative craft. Watching podcasts like yours gives everyone a chance to experience another person’s personal world, creativity and culture; something to celebrate and bring us all closer together. ❤❤

Another amazing episode. I had to laugh, I’m Australian and I mainly knit Danish patterns! I just finished the Super Selene by Anne Ventzel, it’s perfect I love it ❤ We recently visited Copenhagen and I dragged my poor husband around in search of yarn stores of which there are many. We walked into a small coffee shop and the young woman there was knitting a Sophie scarf, there was an instant connection and she recommended a new yarn store. How I love knitters

Your comments about making errors remind me. When I became a daily knitter via the internet ~2004, my goal was to learn a new skill/technique with every project. In 15 +/- years of doing that, I tried lots of things and decided I love yarn: variety color, texture. Choosing simple patterns and letting the yarn show off has become my present goal. My F2F knitting friends are the most important reward, and each FO becomes a gift to a knitworthy friend or family member. BTW your setting is so beautiful! xxx

The accessories you made were perfect for your weather and look stunning with your coats. The white cardigan with the black flowers, is beautiful. The lavender is just lovely and will so good. I do love the greys to, and will make a grey cowl. Your quotes are very good. I will check out Michael Singer. All your knitting is beautiful you are so experienced. I am finishing up a very simple shirt it the Green Tee by Lone Kjeldsen who I think is Danish. This is my first shirt. A friend of mine went to Finland in June, and brought me back a few skeins of yarn( different colors). I will make hats, for charity. Hats I can make no problem, they are much easier than sweaters.

I enjoy your podcast. I believe you should keep learning all through you life. It is good for brain health. In my mid 60's, I have taken up the oboe, designed and set up livestreaming for my church, and learned to direct a choir. Knitting has kept my brain active but I never want to stop learning to do new things. I come from Norwegian heritage and love the simplicity of some patterns and yet love all the Scandinavian colorwork, too.

Thank you for another beautiful episode. I really liked what you said about learning and perfectionism and making mistakes. I’ve always been a very impatient person, and if I couldn’t do something perfectly right away, I didn’t want to do it at all. Very limiting. Knitting brought a completely different mindset for me; I learned patience and that even though mistakes can be frustrating, I have learned from every single one, and I keep wanting to learn more. Gabor Mate is excellent; I somehow discovered him a few years ago when I was going through a very bad spell of depression for a few months to where I had to take leave from work. He was like a balm for the soul and helped me immensely. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

Hi. I just watched one of your videos and really enjoyed it. You are a lovely lady and a great knitter. I have been knitting continually every day for the last four years. I made lots of knits and enjoy making them. I like the motion of knitting and to see the item grow and change. I like picking different colors of yarn and feel the textures of yarns. I also crochet a little, but my passion is knitting. I am working, and I am almost finished, in making a lap blanket in the colors of mustard and white in twelve rows each. It is coming out nice. It is in acrylic yarn which I like and it feels good. I like the snow outside your windows. Take Care. 😊

I had problems remembering the rows for the sophie shawl too... I finally took 6 safety pins and placed them on my chair arm... I moved a pin to the right every time I did a row then I knew when to do the increase/decrease and that worked for me, that kind of visual record to help me continue in the right way if I got up to do something else for awhile...its a super nice pattern and so cozy when done.

I keep track of my increases/decreases by putting together 6 small safety pins (markers that look like little lightbulbs) The first is white and the last is black. The white one means I'm knitting the first round. I "climb" to the next marker the next round, eventually I get to the black one and then I do my increase/decrease. The next round I insert the needle in the white and start the climb again. Thank You for a lovely video and I wish you a merry Christmas ❄️♥️🌟
