Yes it's true the bs6 versions power has been mellowed down. The bs3 was hell of a machine it used to give pure goosebumps. Only true enthusiasts can understand. After thn that the bs4 ones were the great. I also feel that the bs6 versions somewhat have become a bit softer comparing to its oldest versions😅.And yeah I agree with u this bikes aren't for everyone.

I own a bs6 duke 390 and I agree under 6k rpm it’s a slouch, but after 6k it shoots like the bs4

Eagerly waiting for this beautiful, informative podcast.Thank you for the detailed information about ktm and one question is why 390 are more likely to consume engine oil after some 1500 to 2000km. In particular, 390 needs to top up some 200-300ml of engine oil.

It doesnt apply to evert engine case, it is more common on the ktms than other motorcycle brands. many reasons can be behind this, with build quality, material quality used or some inherent design drawback. however a properly maintained ktm with good oil doesnt show this as a major issue.

I own a bs6 rc390 matte silver i have ridden upto 12k kms i do all the basic maintenances on time i use engine ice as coolant and liquimoly engine oil. So, my question is to keep the engine long lasting do i need to get a powertronic piggyback ecu as u said ktm engines run lean from the factory. Or do i need to get a stage 1 remap from a reputed brand.
