I'm a Cornishman with a dad born in Swansea and I found this at the end of the Scrum V tribute to Eddie. It's a beautifully written piece by a man with a wonderful command of language.... and it made me cry..... God rest ya Eddie

To think this was just the script for a TV trailer ... but Eddie created a scintillating poem on modern Welsh culture and character. Eddie was a remarkable writer, broadcaster and orator. Uniquely talented among sports journalists. It is so saddening that we've lost him. I hope the BBC have properly archived all the montage voiceover scripts he created - across many sports. I could listen to them again and again, as well as his many history documentaries. RIP Eddie, a true Welsh Great.
