"Perfume is the music of the soul." Well said, Sophia. Each note must sing in key to produce a balanced, harmonious, nuanced, & beautifully lyrical perfume. Nothing holds a memory longer than one's nose, n'est-ce pas? I wonder if Sophia has ever smelled another perfumer's masterpiece & thought "Dang, I wish I had created that one!"

I have been so persistent throughout the years in choosing a few specific fragrances which arouse my senses almost to orgasmic levels. One of them is Perry Ellis 360 for Women. Although in Poland, where I reside presently, the prices of perfume are sky-high, I have always somehow managed to save money to buy my favorite bottle of nirvana from time to time. And looking for the best deal on the Net, I have just learned that all of my favorite fragrances were created by the same woman! I am so grateful that I have lived up to the times of the Internet. Calyx was the most beautiful smelling perfume ever. It lingered in my home, my clothes. I wore it for years. People would stop me to tell me how great I smelled. My father in law, when I visited, would come in downstairs and say "I smell my Mary!" It broke my heart when the fragrance changed. Clinique brand doesn't smell like the original. I always said if I was a billionaire, I would bring the original calyx back. It had body lotion and beautiful powder. I felt pampered everyday. I have never found a perfume that affected me in that way. I think sales declined because there was a change made to the formula. It was still under prescriptive but it ruined it. Anyway I love that wonderful perfume!!!

I love her fragrances, they are the definition of femininity. Personally I think her best fragrance is Bvlgari Pour Femme. Such a shame it’s discontinued and very hard to find. Very timeless. I wasn’t aware that she was the perfumer of Givenchy Organza!? I get it though always thought that was so nice.

A adore this endearing, authentic woman, and her fragrances (i.e. Eternity, Paris, Parisienne). Her fragrances are the epitome of class and femininity; powdery, floral and piquant.
