Great and interesting video, he is one of my favorite painters. A suggestion or request for a future video from me would be about Diego Velázquez, in particular his painting Las Hilanderas.

Great video Carel. I love how the light makes the students look so full of life...and even though the corpse is well lit he still looks lifeless. I'm going to the Nicolas Maes exhibition in London next week...I dont know anything about his work...any tips?

Sorry, I have been away from my computer for a while, so I missed that question. How was the exhibition?

It was great...I loved the content and it was very well displayed. Highlights Of The Royal Collection at Queens Gallery, Buckingham Palace is next - they have Rembrandts that are not usually on public display.

Great Video!! I love this painting and your explanation was fantastic. I actually just posted a video on Rembrandt's painting Bathsheba at her Bath, because its my absolute favorite by him, if you would like to check it out :)
