I haven't had any troubles with light or water so far, and I've intentionally tried to make those issues pop up to figure out where the Aster's limit is. Haven't gotten any of those problems to show up yet, makes me think Gate has a huge lemon rate from their sensor supplier. Warfet is probably better for the vast majority of players anyway, and it's what I'd switch to if the Aster started being a problem.
@Briggsian4 жыл бұрын
@@NefariousElasticity I wonder if the amount of lemons you hear about is more down to the higher number of GATE mosfet sold than the competition. I have a Jefftron Leviathan myself and haven't had any issues whatsoever. There's a video that Jefftron posted of them dunking the Leviathan in water, burning it, and even igniting gunpowder on the mosfet, none of which affected its function. Needless to say, I'm not too worried about my Leviathan
@NefariousElasticity4 жыл бұрын
@@Briggsian It could be, I suppose. Higher volume of sales is naturally going to have a larger number of lemon cases (not necessarily higher *rate*) than lower-selling products. If more locals around me used Asters and Titans, I'd love to compile data on the failure rate, but the airsoft scene out here is pretty firmly stuck in 2012 technology and kit wise.

As a time served electrical/electronics engineer, your soldering technique is perfect. The deans plugs can be a bitch if they're greasy on the solder tangs. Quick squirt of IPA (not the beer!) helps before hand. Also a pair of long nose pliers with a rubber band on the handles to keep then shut can be a useful heat shunt to keep the heat away from the plastic bits. The one thing I'll say about soldering is: don't cheap out on the solder. 45 minutes of sweating and swearing and fluxing and melting, then I realised I was using the Chinesium wire. 30 seconds finding ze German stuff, BAM, job done in under a minute. Soldering is easy but it needs practice. You need a good Soldering iron otherwise you will feel bad. I recommend a device called helping hand with multiple arms with clips at their end quite useful. Also before you want to coat any metal with the solder you need to prep it, preferably remove any grease or oils from it , scratch the surface if it is smooth like the connectors, add a drop of " soldering acid " to the metal heat up the solder add it now you got it there for good and there is no risk of the solder falling down due to bad adhesion. Try not to inhale the fumes.

That's pretty much hoe you should solder. If you don't have a vice there's another little trick for a stable soldering. Take some pliers and put a rubber band around the handles. Put a connector in the pliers and it will hold it in place perfectly. Helped me with soldering in the most idiotic places. Did it once on the edge of a stage while the band was actually playing. A connector broke on a signal cable that was going all the way to the top of the stage to the lights Replacing the cable wasn't an option so I used my trick and a soldering iron.

I have a Samsung T10 table 2019 model, a galaxy S6 edge, a 2018 Huawei and my laptop is a Lenovo T410 running Windows 7... Trust me, it's a reliability problem of the units, so many come to me that the owner couldn't set up or their regular tech couldn't set up... At the end if the day, it's not a £300,000 rail gun, it's an airsoft gun so the claim of "Its your phone" I hear every day doesn't wash with me, you shouldn't be required to take a particular brand of phone into the game zone with you to play airsoft... you need a working gun that you can rely on, the titan doesn't provide that.

As an EE, I disagree, soldering really isnt that hard if you follow a few rules: - Use quality solder - Use a quality iron - ALWAYS solder whilst adding more solder to the joint (effectively adding flux), or with flux on the joint - When in doubt more flux - Seriously, more flux, get one of those little pots to add extra flux on a wire before soldering, it helps a ton - Take away the solder first, then a second later the iron - Use a second hand tool or similar to keep the joint steady whilst the solder cools

Hey bro love your vids, teching a lot myself. I have found a way to fix the inconsistent single and sometimes burst or auto shots that you get. I have the same with my warfet sometimes. If I set it to burst, with each trigger pull it shoots: burst - single - burst - single and so on. The way to fix this is to set your RoF % down. try setting it to 70% with low burst. That's how I fixed it. Looked like the 100% setting was giving too much power/energy so it double spins sometimes. Hope this helps, cheers! Oh and try to get your hands on a soldering iron that runs on gas instead of electricity. They rock because they get fcking hot and dont require an irritating wire anymore.

A dsg (dual sector gear) has two gaps (two release points) among the teeth that engage the piston and less teeth per section, which means the piston doesn't get pulled back as far as it would with a normal sector gear, so you need a stiffer spring to get the same velocity (FPS).
