As someone who has been so disconnected from their body and often mentally struggles to allow myself to feel it, this was the most profound experience for me and felt like it was the most needed next step in my ongoing search for healing childhood trauma. Thank you for making this accessible.

Incredibly powerful medicine. I am a creative, so music, dance, art, and spirituality often times "reach" me more easily than hard facts and information about psychology do. I followed along with this and became emotional and cried during the release of negative beliefs. It is 10 am and I completely did not expect to be touched so deeply by this practice! I feel free! I am ready to continue my day with love and joy in my heart. Funnily enough, I actually looked this up to research a topic for my final in my counseling and personal growth course. The rest of my day will be spent dancing at a street festival with good vibes, people and art. - Thank you and much love!

Thank you so much for sharing this practice Ekin. I regularly move my body via dance as a way to connect and release my emotions but have found that I have become stagnant. I did not even move my body to this video yet, I just watched, and I still received such an emotional release. I appreciate your generosity in posting this.

Profound WHOLE being healing comes from combining movement with visualization while allowing yourself to feel safe as you let your emotions and feelings flow on a transformational journey. This is a BEAUTIFUL lesson and follow along opportunity to have a deeply impactful and life changing experience. Thank you Ekin Bernay for being so raw and authentic in your own 'unwinding' and clear as a the guide and demonstrator. We ALL have the opportunity everyday to unleash our inner "eternal" being that knows balance, love, health, and happiness and utilizing movement & dance to do so, in my opinion, is most helpful & perfect!

Oh, wow; this was so intense for me, and there was no reasoning involved. I don't even know what negative words I was trying to crush and dust away, but I went through a heavy-duty release. And then the positive things; I don't think I had any positive words in particular in mind, but it felt oh, so good, all felt in the body, no reasoning or going over thoughts or processing whatever it was.

And so tomorrow I'm going to make this my routine... In the beginning of it when she says 'when's the last time you jumped?'.... today I did some chakra dance and I jumped up and down and thought to myself wow it feels good to jump...weird

I love this. You have such a beautiful energy and approach to sharing therapy and movement together. I am a dancer/choreographer and doula and use some similar techniques in my womb healing work with women who are not dancers but need to heal and connect with their creative center (whether they've given physical birth or not). I created a dance therapy class for women at Riker's and saw first hand the immediate effects of movement -- as therapy -- unfortunately as soon as the program was implemented, the pandemic hit and it was halted. I will share your video with the director as I pray they are continuing to recognize the need for this -- within and outside of jail walls. I found your video while looking to expand my History of Dance curriculum as I share ecstatic dance and speak about dance therapy with my theory students. Thank You so much for sharing your beautiful modality. Looking forward to seeing/ sharing more of your work!

I get into a deep connected state with my body when I'm high. But when I'm sober I'm too tense and almost feel uncomfortable doing these kinds of movements like dancing.
@how.disability.justice3 жыл бұрын
If it feels too intense, have you tried yet if there are movements that are more comfortable? I noticed that building relationships with people who enjoy movement and dance makes it easier to feel positively encouraged to try new things because that interest takes social forms as shared understanding develops.

Can I ask a question? I did not understand what we do with positive and negative words we wrote? Thank you
@SheilaLeighGwapa3 жыл бұрын
The negative and positive thoughts she wrote can be seen here! She asked herself to think the negative she thought and decided to crushed/rubbed them with her hands and turned into dust which she spread on the air because she doesn't need that negativity in her life. While the positive thoughts /energy she decided to go with the flow, enjoy and be HAPPY with her life for that is THE LIGHT! Where THE MAGIC begins 🙏
