Cheater champion. Barriccelo was ordered many times to stay behind him even when he was quicker. Cheater champion. 👍 👍

I disagree, I’d say it’s just time and the face he only won a single championship. Realistically, how often do you hear about Ascari, Surtees, Hawthorne, Hulme, Farina. It’s not racism, as much as carts in people might want it to be. In 2019, Scheckter did some laps of Monza in his championship winning Ferrari, so he is hardly forgotten.

What a legend! Besides his insane chapionship win with Gilles Villeneuve in his rearview mirror who was one of the fastert drivers ever, his 1977 season was flat-out stunning, finishing barely behind Niki. Also, chronicles often forget to mention that after James Hunt and Niki Lauda's epic 1976 battle Jody was the third man on the podium (with the craziest F1 design of all times I think) as well as after the 1974 season. He was a frontline fighter during the '70s where cars were not nearly as safe and balanced as today. One of the bravest drivers around the time. "Do the best and fuck the rest" - a great motto to consider :)
