In every way, our lives must commend God’s desire to save the world. Every Christian is certainly responsible for telling others about what God has done through His Son Jesus Christ in providing salvation for all who believe in Him. We are not only responsible to verbally give witness to the Gospel, we are obligated to live our lives in such a way that we commend the Gospel to a watching world.
In this passage of Scripture, 1 Timothy 2:1-7, the Apostle Paul commands us to pray for all people, even kings and those in positions of high authority *to the end that we might live lives that are peaceful, quiet, godly, and dignified. This is pleasing in the sight of God because it is in agreement with God’s desire to save the world. Our lives must be lived in such a way that we are bearing good witness to the saving work of Christ Jesus!
The following is a sermon from 1 Timothy 2:1-7 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
