I am typing this 5 minutes into the video. Last weekend I got a bug that kept me in the CR most of the night. Next day my band played two four-hour gigs about an hour away from each other. I am in my 70s and I am STILL tired a week later. My son came down with 101F fevers for two days (he is full Filipino and 23) last Sunday and Monday, then I saw on TV that there is widespread walking pneumonia going around in school-aged children in Arizona, USA. So it is not just the Philippines, if that makes you feel any better. BTW, I got my flu and COVID vaccines last September so they should be fully active by now.

Don't forget how much the massive amount of pollution here affects the respiratory system. I notice Gary has a persistent cough. I was here 4 months last year and had a persistent cough a few weeks after I arrived. Shortly after I arrived I had pneumonia. I was able to heal from that and had pneumonia again a month later. After 4 months I finally left and went back to the U.S. Within two weeks after returning to America, no more persistent cough and no more pneumonia. The pollution here is a huge problem but no one seems to want to do anything about it.

I don’t exactly know why. I can only speculate. Everyone in the room that went in for an interview was denied. She watched them all walk out with their passports still in hand. My guess is that a filipino needs to have enough money to travel on their own as a tourist. They can’t rely on a sponsor.
