A Little Bit of India in Kenya / First Barbeque Nation in Africa

Barbeque Nation is a well known Indian restaurant in India but also in many other countries in the Middle East and Asia. But since a year ago, the first ever Barbeque Nation restaurant on the African continent opened in Nairobi Kenya.
They took their buffet style concept that made them famous and added a Kenyan twist to tailor to the local population here in Nairobi. They have a beautiful soup and salad bar with a few delicious Indian style and Kenyan style meal served buffet style but they also serve tons of different dishes and meats on skewers. And talking about meat, this was our favorite part of the all you can eat meal.
Also included with the buffet option, are the naans! They make them from scratch inside a proper naan oven. They are crispy and chewy just like you would fin in the street of New Delhi.
Overall, a great experience and for this price, you can't find a better deal in Nairobi.

East African Indian food is already a unique style of food developed during the Railway construction. Anyway, Hashmi's Restaurant has the most authentic East African Indian barbeque.

Buttered naan with paneer tikka masala is my favorite food when I eat out and the cheese feels like you are eating meat but you are actually eating vegetarian food Ke - Indian foods is one of the best things to happen to Kenya coz they add to the local variety/options

Always love your restaurant reviews. But just so ppl don't think that EVERYTHING is in Nairobi ...... we have a number of good Indian restaurants in coast ad well. Some of them are hidden gems. But the naans are always good 😊

Please do try South Indian cuisine in the US India has Hindi.. its spoken mostly in North India.. Bollywood is only known for any Indian movie.. RRR movie is from South India.- Telugu State. Lot of Tamil and Telugu Migrants for generations in the US We got 22 languages with 24 dialects in 22 states from North to South India. India is Unity in Diversity.. Please do check out about RRR movie about SOUTH Indians AR RAHMAN about Tamilnadu. LOTS Of BRITISH history in SOUTH India - Exclude Pondy- Pondicherry- French Territory and GOA Portugal territory. 1. India is like a federation of some well governed African countries like Namibia, Botswana, Mauritius, Kenya, Cabo Verde and Ghana. The richest parts of India look like Port Louis or white areas of Capetown. There are some urban non posh areas in India which have leather, textile, apparel, footwear and waste recycling industries, those places look like Hillbrow but they have low crime rates and people are very friendly. The poorest rural areas look like the poorest rural areas in Ghana. A state called Kerala in India in terms of political rights, civil liberties and corruption would be like Botswana. A state called Uttar Pradesh in India in terms of political rights, civil liberties and corruption would be like Ghana. But Kerala and Uttar Pradesh are bigger than Botswana or Ghana.
