I love how much attention you put into making the sound experience fantastic, which is the key to any good ASMR video. Still, I feel like this a different class of ASMR. You also provide us with an amazingly crisp, yet soothing video. It just looks sooo crisp. I can really tell you put quite the chunk of time (and probably money) into this video and for that I feel like the minimum I can say is thank you. I hope more people land on your videos!

I really want to know more about the setup with the camera and light for videos like this. I have watched many food videos but this is truly amazing.
@AlittleASMRtingle3 жыл бұрын
I might do a little setup video in future then. I use a Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K camera in combination with a metabones speed booster and some really old vintage lenses. I have 1 main led panel light that I bounce off a white card for diffusion, and a window with a white diffusion blind. It’s a super simple setup and I keep the colour grade equally simple for a bit of a nude look. I put links in the description for the various bits and pieces I use, and I have a video coming up (when I finally get time to edit it!) of me cleaning my lens collection, so you’ll get to see the lenses I use then. 😊

Why are you sorting the coffee beans ? And why are you putting some of them apart ? Was it more for ASMR purpose or do you do this sorting (in a faster way) on a regular basis ?
@AlittleASMRtingle3 жыл бұрын
I was just going through looking for defects or small beans before roasting, and then after roasting I go through and look for any quakers, the those stubborn beans that don’t darken properly. They can really sour a cup. That said, I definitely don’t go through my coffee this thoroughly on the regular haha. I usually just push the beans around after the roast with my fingers for a few seconds and look for the light ones, kinda like looking for a specific piece of lego in a box full of Lego, and I never look for defects before the roast. That was definitely for the ASMR. 🤣
@AlittleASMRtingle3 жыл бұрын
Also, I roast every Friday for the following week. I roast 200g (roasted weight), which gives me roughly 2 cups a day for the week days. The Ikawa roasts in batches of 50g, so I do a few batches to get there. It’s actually a really comforting routine. The sound of the roaster purring away and the smell of the roasting coffee always puts me in a good mood.

@AlittleASMRtingle2 жыл бұрын
I know you should, but I'm not always that patient. If I happen to have coffee left from the previous batch to last a few days, then great. If not, I just accept the first day or two may be a little bumpy before the coffee settles. Still, even if it's only 24 hours, I find home roast coffee to be better than anything commercial I've bought, even the good stuff from small roasters (and I live in London, so I'm fairly spoilt for choice when it comes to artisan coffee roasters). I think that comes from a combination of being able to dial in the roast exactly to my preference, being able to buy exceptional beans that would not usually make commercial sense for a roaster, and having the satisfaction of owning the roast experience. If you're really into coffee, I'd strongly recommend the Ikawa roaster, it changed my coffee experience quite dramatically.

why would you not cut out the ridiculously loud errors you make? You sound balancing is already too low so you have to listen on high volume and then youre just dropping stuff that ends up being deafening. At least listen back to your content and make sure you're balancing is right and cut out the errors. you only have to mute the video for a second if you dont want to edit the transition in
