Those blades for Kickback do tab in together, but unevenly, in order to plug at the back of the insect mode to create a thorax

Specifically they make the thorax for Ransack from the Buzzworthy Bumblebee 4-pack. But I think they also tab on to the wings of Ransack or Kickback. And Evolution Shrapnel CAN store his gun on the underneath side of insect mode....

As a kid, while everyone loved the Dinobots, I actually loved the Insecticons more. I loved how, even though they were Decepticons, they weren’t 100% loyal to Megatron. They only looked out for themselves. Megatron didn’t fully trust them. They were highly intelligent, sneaky and slimy. I loved their colors too. They didn’t even live with the rest of the Decepticons. They were semi-autonomous and only sided with Megatron because they hated the Autobots even more.

I think it's interesting that they escaped from the Nemesis (abandoned their post?) in an escape pod and them never went into stasis like the rest. They consisted so long by getting energon on their own just like insects eating food, that they took on the personality of their alt modes. Just interesting.

I'm pretty sure the energon weapons were supposed to be a line wide gimmick where you could use the extra weapons to make crazy combinations. Tl:dr, the energon weapons were a gimmick that ultimately got scrapped.

They don’t mind having ROTB Maximals be grey but they object to Bombshell being grey in the cartoon. They should have released two versions - one based on the original toy and one based on the original cartoon. As it is, this is toy Bombshell colors with the cartoon colors head.

Cartoon Bombshell was still purple in beetle mode, so you cant have a perfectly cartoon accurate Bombshell.

They could have done something similar to shrapnel with the sides of the head, could have had two pieces fold in and out of the chest at the sides of the head, easily could have been a simple flip up and down

I do think they should've done better on both Shrapnel and Bombshell, especially the legs. It looks worse than off, it looks like they both got stuck in dumpsters. At least Bombshell's arms fold away.

That foot looks like it hasnt been assembled correctly and needs forcing in a little to be flush. The other looks ok from here

First
