Welppp imma head out cuz it's officially autumn in England. We spent a few days in the countryside this September and I thought I would share some of the fall festivities ~ mostly walking, eating bread, and rummaging vintage trinkets. We had a lovely time aside from me driving for the first time in London (you brits are sickos for those roundabouts).
Here are the villages we visited in the Cotswolds:
Bourton on the Water
Lower Slaughter
Stow on the Wold
Burford
Thanks for watching! love ya bye

The stone mushrooms you saw are called staddle stones; originally they were used to keep vermin out of grain barns by having the barn built on top of them, one in each corner to keep it off the ground and the head part would stop the rats and mice from climbing them. Nowadays they are used ornamentally, such as you saw.

A great video. I stayed with my daughter for a couple of months while she lived in the UK. We also found the courage to try to drive so we would be able to see more- and OH MY GOD, the roundabouts- there are no words- its been a couple of years since the drive and the trauma of the roundabouts are still fresh. Best to you.

I loved the haul so much I bought a matching plate to the Franklin one. Squirrel and mushrooms? Way too my style to ignore. That town was so precious. It made me want to move to a small town so badly. Also? I’m so jealous of how easy it is to just walk places there. I feel like I’d get a ton of more exercise in if I could just walk to places from my house.

@@briisokay it had squirrels and mushrooms, I absolutely scoured the web for one! I am turning one of my bedrooms into a cottage inspired craft room/library and I wanted some plates to hang in there. I was originally going to do the Brambly Hedge seasons series but they’re soo expensive here. I was so excited to see the Bunnykins, too. I am beginning to think my taste leans British cottage core.

All credit to you for giving it a go and I applaud you for doing so 👏. So sorry to hear you had to endure being beeped and shouted at by other road users, not nice especially on your first time driving over here. I'm a little late with my comment. Just found your channel, and i'm enjoying what you shared with us today. The bunnykins bowl that you did not know what it's for is a solid heavy bowl for children to eat out of. I think it's heavy so that it can't be knocked on the floor easily. My daughter, who is fifty-five, had some bunniken pieces when she was a wee one. Thanks for taking me along to the Cotswolds. A dream of a place to live!❤

So glad you guys found your way to the Cotswolds, a true gem in the British countryside, practically fairy tale land. Another place I think you would love to visit is the New Forest in Hampshire. This beautiful area is renowned for its free-roaming ponies, deer, and other wildlife and is home to around 5,000 ponies. Really enjoyed your commentary, amongst the best I've heard with your quirky and sharp personality. Really like your arts and crafts videos and also hope you post more regular travel vlogs as they are really good. Keep up the great work briisokay and look forward to your next video. Dean 🙂

I think your fellow weather appreciator meant the weather was nice on a scale of 1-10. As in, it was a fine day, indeed. lol 😉 I lived in England, and found that usually the reliable way to approximate Celsius for the Amero-brain, is to double the number given, then + 30. Celsuis 20 + 20 + 30 = 70 Farenheit. Off by a couple, but darn close.

Kudos to you for driving to the Cotswolds. I did that same trip a few years ago and, oh my gosh! I realize now that I was mentally prepared to be driving on the wrong side of the road, but I completely forgot that I would be on the wrong side of the CAR. Lol. And you’re right about those skinny, skinny Cotswolds roads. They get so narrow that people have to stop and back into driveways (which are also extremely skinny by the way), to be able to pass each other. And I still have PTSD from one giant roundabout. I remember a British woman’s voice on the GPS saying, “Prepare to enter the roundabout. Take the seventh exit on the roundabout.” Meanwhile, I’m trying to desperately count and figure out which lane I’m supposed to be in and remind myself which direction I’m going on the wrong side of the road and on the wrong side of the car, and then she says, “Prepare to exit the roundabout. When possible, make a U-turn. (pause) Prepare to enter the roundabout.“ And it went on and on… 😂😂😂 I left that tiny little car in the tiny little driveway at my tiny little Airbnb and walked everywhere until I had to drive back to the airport. 😅

Americans are so behind on conversions. Boggles my mind. 😮😊💁🏻‍♀️🇨🇦😁🫖 Here is a nice hot pot of Earl Grey for you.😅ty for pretty music in background. But less chatter. It bogs it down and I got frustrated listening not seeing stuff.😢 Too much chat.

Another American waffling about driving in the UK again 🙄😫🥱. Other than the over dramatisation of driving, a very good video, well done 😉🙂👏
