I always say no one style of dance is more or less difficult than another, they all require different skills, and different dancers will find different skills more or less challenging. That's part of what I like about doing multiple different styles! Tap and lyrical are two wildly different styles, but both are beautiful and challenging in their own ways!

i’ve been dancing since i was 2 and i did every style of dance every year that I could for my age and this year was when i could start taking musical theater and it was hard for me because for 9 years i’ve been doing other style but i like it and it has definitely gotten a bit easier each class

I am definitely more of a serious/ballet type of dancer! I feel very uncomfortable doing musical theater or jazz! When I do jazz it looks like I’m trying to do ballet lol

I can definitely relate. I’ve been taking dance classes for 11 years. 5 years of tap and jazz, then I dropped that and started ballet and Irish step, then I added lyrical in my 8th year and I just added hip hop this year. I just feel very out of place since ballet and Irish step are so technical and hip hop is more about having fun and just moving then doing everything perfect.
